or anywhere where they do universal health care? if so, this is the thread for you!
and btw, before i start, this is NOT in the wrong section. everyone knows that infjs always drink til they pass out and THATS EXCLUSIVLY AN INFJ THING. DO NOT DARE PUT THIS IN A DIFFERENT SECTION, MODS.
(and yes, im a saru wannabe, because his thread making skills are great)
ok so. let me tell you. i live in the united states (yay for capitalism), and
what a night i had yesterday. i drank till i passed out on the bathroom floor at some show far away from home, and i guess someone called 911 because before i knew it i was in the emergency room.
it got me thinking. the service i received wasnt that great. they treated me for 6 hrs they said. i got there at around midnight and they woke me up at 6 am. i felt like shit and wanted to sleep more. they said i had to leave because they did all the treatment already, there was nothing left for them to treat. granted, this was in the ER area so they probably need it for people who have actual illnesses, so i asked if i could be put in a different area of the hospital. the lady said no but that i was MORE THAN WELCOME to stay in the waiting room. lold.
the way i see it, they were no longer able to treat me, meaning they cant bill me, meaning they cant make money off me, so i had to leave. but i could be wrong. it may just be that this is standard no matter where in the world this happens? i guess it might be a lack of sympathy thing. you know, they wanna make room for people who are in actual danger ad opposed to some kid that just drank too much.
has anyone here ever gone to the ER with alcohol posioning in a country with universal healthcare? how did that work out for you?
