Favorite Video Games

Off topic: I don't play any video games. I don't even watch TV. This puts people off sometimes, but I know people who do even less than that.

What's your favorite video game(s)?
What's your favorite right now and what's your favorite of all time. Why?
What video game(s) are you currently playing?
What draws you to a certain game?
What upcoming games are you looking forward to?
Xbox, Wii, Playstation 3 or PC?
Alright all you youngsters, move over!

  1. Civilization I, II and IV
  2. Sim City, 2000, 3 and 4 as well
  3. Phantasy Star 1 and 2 for Sega Master System & Genesis
  4. Populous
  5. The Legend of Zelda (original)
  6. Pirates!
  7. Roller Coaster Tycoon
  8. Fallout 2
  9. Final Fantasy VI (III in the US)
  10. Shadowrun (SNES version)
  11. Destruction Derby 2
  12. GTA 3
  13. Ultima Online
  14. Dark Age of Camelot
  15. Fable (Not the one you all think you know either)
  16. Day of the Tentacle
  17. Kings Quest 1-5
  18. Space Quest 4
  19. Quest for Glory
  20. X-COM series
  21. Hitman/Blood Money
  22. IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
  23. Masters of Orion 2
  24. Dune 2
  25. Command & Conquer
  26. Knights of the Old Republic
  27. The Guild II
  28. Magestorm (available on Gamestorm before Mythic closed the doors for their Dark Age of Camelot's release)
  29. Aliens Online (same as above)
  30. Team Fortress 2 before they sold out and became a flea market for useless, crappy items.
Currently:

  1. Minecraft
  2. Uncharted Waters Online
All time:

  1. Fallout 2 - Perfect story, nice blend of humor, open-ended, self-made mini-quests (Kill all the prostitutes in New Reno) they didn't try too hard and leave you feeling empty and unsatisfied like the newer Fallouts.
Draws:

  1. "Completeness" to the world/game.
  2. Freedom
  3. Story
Looking forward to:

  1. Star Wars: The Old Republic
PC/Console:

  1. PC - haven't owned a console since selling my Wii back in 2008.

Does anyone remember a game called megalomania? I had it on my atari st probably about 20 years ago. It was similar to games like civilisation and was probably the first game of this type. This and a game called dungeon master were my favourite games as a kid.
