    That is a wonderful, heartwarming idea. I doubt it would catch on in the US, but we can hope.

    I've heard of this - and a few independent organizations both on my campus and in other organizations I'm part of actually help fund some microcredit farm programs. Either that, or they help the programs with the basics and teach them how to be self-sustaining (and how to build self-sustaining agribusinesses).

    It warms my heart. It's innovative and so important these days. Heck, if the world's going in this crazy direction it is going, it might be the only way any of us survive in the long run. :p
