[INFJ] Fe and Difficulty Finding Self

This is an older thread but I wanted to ask - If Fe leads to difficulty in defining self, what is the antidote to this?

[INFJ] Why does this site see such little traffic? Usually anything I say is forgotten :)

What I mean by this is that a few of my posts have remained on the first page for quite some time now.

[INFJ] The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I didn't catch that at first. I realized it after someone told me about it. The scene at the end kind of resonated with me. It's when he wakes up in Mayview Hospital and talks with the doctor/counselor. I'm wondering if other INFJs understand what he's saying there. I'm still trying to figure...

[INFJ] Fe and Difficulty Finding Self

Thanks Wyote. Some of the challenges I've had with my circumstances while growing up involve being a child of toxic parents. In all attempts to promote harmony within the family over the years my efforts have been fruitless. I recognize now that I'm better off focusing my energies elsewhere.

[INFJ] Fe and Difficulty Finding Self

Thanks Melissa. Your whole post explains much of what I experience too. The one above certainly hits home as well. I'm going to take a look at some creative pursuits/outlets to see if this is helpful to me. Thanks for mentioning your experience with this.

[INFJ] Fe and Difficulty Finding Self

Thanks Asa. I'll check out his blog. I appreciate you providing a link too. Wyote, this is very helpful. Thank you. This sentence below from your post makes it much easier to understand. "When you dedicate the majority of your mental space to orienting yourself in relation to your...

[INFJ] Fe and Difficulty Finding Self

Can anyone explain how Fe relates to self-identity and how it makes it difficult? I had an "Identity Crisis" in high school and I have always struggled to learn why. I needed to see a therapist (in-patient and out-patient) but to this day it still isn't easy. The MBTI Notes blog is where I read...

[INFJ] The Perks of Being a Wallflower

As an INFJ how did reading this book or watching the movie resonate with you?

    How organized are you?

I'm pretty orderly as well when it comes to tasks/projects. However, my indoor surroundings are a mess. I wonder if this is type related. For example, with Se being our most inferior function, I wonder if this plays a role. Cleaning Tip: If you want your desk to be cleaned quickly spill some...

Happy alone yet lonely. The heart of the INFJ.

The title of this thread pretty much explains my experience as well. One note on attending social gatherings; I always try to have an exit strategy. Last summer I had to attend a wedding. I pretty much knew in advance when and how I was going to leave :)

What Percentage of Male INFJ's are Single?

There seems to be more to it when it comes to ENFPs and INFJs getting together sometimes. The Thought Catalog has a nice article on this subject. Here's Why ENFPs and INFJs Make the Best Friends for Each Other

[INFJ] As an INFJ Do You Enjoy Writing?

Thanks Night Owl. It's great that you found something you enjoy so early in life. I'm not sure yet where I'll go with writing but I recently read that reading literature is good for INFJs. I may look into this. So much of my reading now is about INFJs and development :)

[INFJ] As an INFJ Do You Enjoy Writing?

Thanks everyone. It's great to hear what your thoughts are on writing as fellow INFJs. I actually have a copy of Elements of Style by Strunk and White. It might help me to actually read it, though :)

[INFJ] As an INFJ Do You Enjoy Writing?

Great feedback guys. Thanks. I'd love to hear more. By the way, I could be wrong, but would you say it's common for folks that find it hard to convey their words through speaking lean towards writing?

What Percentage of Male INFJ's are Single?

Hi Skip. That's interesting to hear. Personally having some close friends I think would keep me pretty content at times. My old group of friends are kind of spread out but we get together a few times a year. I'm glad you like the Strengthsfinder test/assessment. When I did it a few years ago I...
