  • Oh yeah? What's it about? I'm working on a novel at the moment - it's a love story, sort of. :D I hope you have a wonderful day. Take care.
Hello! What is up? Well, many things are up! The sun, the air, my mood, my spirit, my life, the very moment in which I am existing... It's a beautiful day. :m149:

But I guess you were meaning in a more casual sense. :D Thank you for asking and please excuse my awkward sense of humour - I am good! How are you? Have you had a good day? What's on your mind? Are you on any top secret spy missions at the moment? :D
I know exactly the feeling you describe and can actually sense it right now. It's somewhat like a rush of adrenaline where it becomes an obsessive thought that won't go away until you act on it, right? It's not crazy, but it is very INFJ. Our minds are forever working on many things at once, even on a subconscious level. So often what you are experiencing are ideas that have been in that subconscious "coming to the surface" so to speak. The INFJ mind is always trying to figure things out or create things, solve problems, etc. Since you typically have a schedule that you like to stick with because that feels healthy for you - what techniques have you tried thus far to counteract this mind switch not turning off? I assume you have tried things such as "mind switch" which would be intensely focusing on another topic that doesn't cause your brain to go into over-drive, something relaxing. Sometimes what works for people is getting out a pen and paper or your computer and just writing every thought and idea that comes to your mind about this "light bulb" idea so you can get it all out of your head and focus on something else for a bit. Lavender is also highly effective, believe it or not - whether you spray it on your pillow, around the room or soak in the sub with it (if you have one). You can also try laying down on the bed, closing your eyes and as your mind is racing, begin to take really deep breaths in gently in a soothing fashion and slowly exhale and literally cause your brain to focus on your breathing. This has a huge affect on the brain. Jotting your thoughts down first and then doing the breathing technique in combination together often works the best.
I had to LOL when you said that it seems unnatural to be this kind. Believe me when I say that I can't be fake if I tried. I would look dumb as a rock & sound it too. I genuinely say how I feel and I mean what I say. I think the reason it probably seems that way is because I really do have an extremely deep empathy & concern/interest for and in people because of my past. Perhaps that's what you sense?

I found you interesting because reading your "About Me" section is extremely similar to mine. (I've been meaning to update it though but haven't yet gotten the chance) I have been called "The Jane of All Trades" so nice to meet you, Jack of all Trades :D I can literally relate to every interest you listed, very interesting. And oh yes, I can 100% relate to not being able to sleep because there is something on your brain that you just have to "dig into" and know more about, absolutely! It happens far too often to me. I'm really sorry you are having trouble sleeping though...I never like hearing that. Is this idea a "light bulb" kind of idea regarding one of your interests where your mind is just spinning really fast and you can't shut it off?
Oh, wow. I love the story of how your nickname came about  Thank you for sharing that with me! My apologies for getting the time zones all mixed up too! I forget sometimes that people are on here from all different parts of the world, which I love. I hope you have a wonderful night then, to correct that mistake :w: By the way, thank you so much for your kind words - that touched my heart because I can feel that you're a very sincere person. Thank you for being you. We need more good people in this world.

Regarding your question of how I became so interested in MBTI and Psychology, it was just always natural for me. I've had a really rough life and was what people called a wise counselor and old soul even as a young kid. (I've always had a very abnormally extreme intuition) There was an INFJ description that really hit my heart because it was true for me and I am sure others as well. It says: "INFJs are “old souls.” Many grow up feeling wiser than would be predicted by their chronological age. Having discovered the benefits of their Introverted Intuition (Ni) quite early in life, INFJs grow to trust its judgments and insights. They may take on the role of counseling and advising their friends and siblings, or even adult family members, from a fairly young age. Their gift for providing wise counsel often continues into adulthood." I knew it was my purpose in life, especially since I wanted to spare anyone the pain I suffered so I did more and more research about Psychology in general and then discovered MBTI and was simply amazed! From there, it just continued and the rest is history as they say :) But really, it all stems from my passion of wanting to help people or save them from pain or rescue them from it if they're already in it. It sounds as if you were a natural at Basketball and had a passion for it so I would say it's that kind of feeling... Do you still play Basketball?
Hi Shaqie, thank you for stopping by and saying hello! Please feel free to just call me Holly. I use Dr. Holly as my username in a jovial way actually because it is also my nickname from those that know me, always joking with me about being an INFJ and therefore always "fixing and rescuing" anyone and anything, ha ha. Yes, indeed, you are correct - to answer your question, it is Psychology. My life's purpose is to serve and help in any way I can, that's pure joy. May I ask where the username Shaqie comes from? What it means to you? I'm always curious when I see such unique names. :) I sincerely hope you're having a fantastic day!
Shaqie, thanks for being the first to welcome me to the forums  I agree, we do have several interests in common so I look forward to really interesting discussions! You mentioned being pretty new here yourself so welcome to you as well! :) I hope you're having a really great day!
