  • I play this awesome blinking game with my fish.
    He really enjoys himself.
    It's sweet.
    No problem. So, do you feel fairly decided in your type? If so, which wings are you leaning more towards?

    Let me know :)
    That's cool. It did take me a couple of reads, but once I got the title down the rest was easier.
    :) That's good, I guess classes everywhere were the same ? >_>; *sleeps EASILY in classes*
    About your thoughts regarding conversation.. I find a lot of times people were just..self-promoting. Other times they're stating some statement, and the rest of it, sympathizing. Of course, a lot of people's words are an extension (or, sometimes, a reflection) of what they see, what they experienced, and furthermore, what they took notice. Your tendencies to elaborate on concepts might be a reflection to your preferences towards philosophies. :)

    embellishing and exaggerating -is- part of social life, I'd say; better than matter-of-fact statements, which might be boring, except in particular situations. It -is- like writing; the truth you described, how well and detailed your description is, and how they would catch the reader's attention. Only, what you're capable of explaining and describing in paragraphs, you have to do it in short sentences.

    In certain ways, good storyteller are as good as a good writer. :)
    Yeah, I was in my early/mid 20's. I moved in with my brother for a while. Then I got a GF and moved in with her. Then we got married and moved into a house. Just the life of a 20 something yr old. It's a great city if you are young and looking for adventure. My brother (and me a bit too) was in the music business so we always had something going on. Good times....
    Hey, just noticed you hail from Nashville. I lived there for 8 years and met my wife there too. I lived all over Antioch, Smyrna, Donelson. Nice area, it just wasn't home in the end.
    Thanks :D

    I would say there's little to any correlation between MBTI type and the flavor of humor one would like. Maybe more if we're talking about why they choose that particular flavor of humor, but not the flavor itself.

    How's your day? :)
    Ah, that's amazing ! o_O; such power that small talks have xD I always considered small talk..well, mostly a trifle thing, in a good or bad way. I guess I shouldn't underestimate those.
    That's an interesting book. :) By any chance, can I know what it's titled?

    Hmm... that's interesting. I get a sarcastic feel in the sequence you described, in a uptight, polite kind of way. But this isn't just the ordinary kind of sarcasm, is it? It feels...complex. Intricate. It seems to be an interesting relationship.

    I also have a fondness towards dialogue and humor, albeit I'm a setting and feel kind of person myself. It's interesting to see how each author describes the settings, and how the author develops it, as it's interesting reading the implications underneath each dialogue, between each people....

    ....yeah, there's the F/T differences. >_>;
    As far as mistakes goes... That's fine, you know. Mistakes happen. And as usual, with that comes a lesson. XP

    You liked certain types of witty humor? what kind of humor?

    And...that's an interesting vision on small talk. Kinda Freudian, I would say, what with the mothers and unfilled needs. O_O; So it's dissecting the reasons on why people uses small talk?

    Yeah, I guess novels are harder to skim through due to the plot ^^; There are times when I read and can't help but think of how long and boring the buildup is *runs*
    I'm fine, just kinda busy (met some friends at Saturday, and another in Friday) and too tired to open the forums. xD;

    *laughs* okay, I guess I'll try to find one and face it properly these days. To be honest, thinking about philosophy resulted in a word "boring" for me, and so is philosophical novel. "Seems like a novel full of old man, bitter middleaged men, or Mary Sues trying to bombard their views." Oh, me and my unknowing!

    Do you read TVTropes? If you'd read it, what I mean is Author Tract / Filibuster. Otherwise..yeah. ;P

    Oooh, that book of small talks seems pretty interesting (yeah, yeah; total Introvert here.) anyway; what consideration do you use when picking books? So you usually flip them to find something interesting first?

    Lastly, sorry for my words in your blogs if they offend you in anyway. I'm rather afraid of you picking the wrong road out of emotional outbursts.
    Sorry for replying late, been away from the forum these few days. :)

    I see, so they're also a place to place their own philosophy against the reader's own? Interesting. How uncommon are their philosophies, I wonder? I know a little about Nietzsche and Rand; but not others.

    Yeah; I'm talking about fictions back then; I guess that's my own comprehensive reading not working too well. :p

    And nonfiction....I hadn't read much of nonfiction books, actually. I'm ashamed. Most of it were books about drawing and nothing else. Your choice of nonfiction books are interesting, do you pick it by choice or just randomly? :D
    KazeCraven--I truly appreciate your suggestions on developing myself. Some of them are new to me, and I look forward to trying them. Thanks! :)
