  • Hee i still owe you a plate of homecooking. And I'm actually in Europe now. I've had a bit of a name change though. i wonder if you can riddle out who i am..... it has been a while. you get three guesses!
Thanks to all and sorry for being away! I didn't have internet for a while... and it may happen again. But it's all good, because one can read more, and there's so much material to read anyway.
There is most definitely a need for both. "Weak-minded" sounds like a degrading description, which can't be more wrong in my opinion. I feel I need to have ENPs around me. ENPs have this attitude "Here's an idea, let's implement it!", which is absolutely necessary for someone like me if I am to accomplish anything other than just standing still on one spot pondering things. Well, more or less...

When it comes to function breakdown I fully understand your viewpoint that it is better (at least easier and more practical) to look at the whole function set, but I have this strange urge to understand the separate functions. I will not be able to feel that I understand MBTI until I understand how each function works, at least inside myself, and I really want to understand this.
Funny thing; one of the best examples I have of my Ni and Ti pulling in the same direction is about the nature of logic itself. My Ni has always told me that not everything can be explained through logic. And when I found out about G
Thanks for the comment, that's interesting.

I was thinking about what I wrote about the feelings when I was out biking a moment ago. At the time when I descovered this in myself, several years ago (during a mushroom experience), I thought of it as a feeling. But back then I wasn't aware of this concept of intuition, but that might just be what it is.

Lately I have been thinking a lot maybe I'm INTJ after all, but it always falls on my strong preference for Ti and Se over Te and Si. So I use logic to decide I'm not INTJ. But the problem is I don't TRUST my own logic. This cracks me up when I think about it. I trust my intuition, and as long as my intuition is uncertain, then I can't wholeheartedly accept it. Thats is why I can't seem to rule it out once and for all. But if both intuition and logic tells me the same, then we have a winner.

I have a question for you if you don't mind. How would you describe your Ne?
    Yeah. You're right.

Funnily, this reminds me of the recent thread here about INFJ Si as the least preferred function and how we sometimes use it negatively, like in taking joy in destroying the old just for the sake of destroying the old. But THAT is not what I'm doing... or is it? :p Hehe. One thing I do know about myself (for a while I thought everybody was the same, but I'm not so sure anymore) is that first comes the feeling, then I wrap it in logic before expressing it, if I have to express it.

Well, that was a huge side note.
I can see you are a true BW fan. :) What I say is not that the gameplay will be better with better graphics, but that it will attract more new players with better graphics. And in the end, there is where the money is.
Yes. Definitely a foreceful replacement of the old game that I'm pretty sure will succeed. Sure people will absolutely keep playing the old game as well, but as a spectator sport it is hard to argue against SC2 being superior. Especially in a year or two, when they will have fixed most balance issues. It is just so much more pretty.

What if Blizzard just would have updated the graphics and kept everything else 100% intact? (Because in my opinition, the graphics needed to be fixed.) Would that have won the hearts of the hardcore BW fans you think?
I definitely see what you mean, but if you look at it this simple way; BW will (more or less) not recruit any more players. SC2 will. Three years from now I can't see that any sponsors will want to put any big money at all in BW. I'd love to be surprised though.
That last game was pretty cool. So what will happen with SC1 now you think - it can't live on forever. E.g. will Flash and JD start playing SC2?
