  • Not sure... considering ISFP, INFP and to a tiny degree INFJ. Pretty sure Im not INFJ though.
    Are you from New Zealand?

There are a few NZers here, more than some of the other forums I'm on. :p

My boyfriend is an INFJ, I believe, so yes. :)
Yes, I've had this idea in mind. I've been dealing with a lot of issues so it sort of has become my only outlet.
Your name is always making me see different words! First it was Divine Watermelon, now I just saw Divine Watanabe. My brains playing tricks on me.
click your profile and check the url... that might do it...

    feel free to add me!
Yeah, I do believe disagreement is disagreeable also. And yes INTJs are great friends! My best friend and I can actually understand one another and usually arrive at the same conclusion, we just get there different ways. He also offers a new perspective, which I like. I'm Mark, nice to meet you.
Haha well that's a can of worms :) I certainly am also interested in Objective Truth and Real/Not Real. Although I think that subjective experience is also really important, and may be the only way we can learn more about certain objective truths.

The afterlife is one of my favorite things to think about, mainly because ever since I was a wee little me, I had very vivid dreams of being dead. Or being a ghost rather, wandering an empty earth with other ghosts. As for my theories on it - I think there is some form of reincarnation perhaps, perhaps as a result of quantum entanglement of our consciousness (This is one of the theories I've also heard put forth for NDEs).

I think there are probably 'places' like heaven and hell that people experience when they die, or they 'meet god' or whatever, but it's not a physical existence. I don't totally rule that out as a possibility because there may be something at work we are not aware of. I think the 'we' that we are when alive stays together for some time after death, but probably either dissipates, or is transformed in some way.

I'd also like to think that if our consciousness is somehow saved somewhere, it can be retrieved by some advanced technology, and we can actually be 'resurrected' in a sense sometime in the very distant future.
Likely it was the King James version that I read primarily growing up; I no longer recall, but I have read others. Some passages shine with beauty and truth.

But for the most part, I do not care for bibles in general, nor the religious dogma perpetuated by them. I am not religious.

I find bibles interesting for the stories they tell about our history, but as with anything, I take the knowledge from them with a grain of salt.

My beliefs are not in line with traditional religion, therefore I borrow what I find truthful from many faiths and discard what is not applicable.

Astrology is a practice that is frowned upon, and as I have worked with it for many years, I am not prepared to sacrifice it just to become worthy in a church once again.

I believe it is more important to be kind to our fellow beings, human or otherwise, than it is to try to live our lives by a set of archaic rules laid down by those who seek power and wish to control the masses by ignorance and fear.

Truth is flexible, based on one's perception and perspective. It can be found in many places. My truth is not yours, nor is yours mine. We can only become more than what we are by taking in what is relevant to us and working with that. The bible does not contain what I seek.
Yea I like what the dude is all about. I'll try to check it out some time.
Literature, no. I have read the bible several times though, as I was raised Roman Catholic. I have also done my own research into different religions and what they all entail. Why do you ask?
It's a movie that everyone should see. Massive philosophical and existentialist undertones paired with a really good story. American Beauty and Magnolia are similar in trying to expose the "real dirt on things", but they're more emotional. Two of my other favorite movies... I was debating on whether Fight Club or American Beauty should be the one I entered for the post, but Fight Club got it because I'm in a moodier and mildly more anarchistic mood today. Watch Fight Club at least! GOD that is an amazing movie with a POINT, unlike so many lame movies that claim to be deep that aren't at all...
Your "about me" left out a few things and led to hazarding a guess so I gave it my best try.
Yes go ahead! And I'm the one who wrote the entire "Paschal Resurrection Thread" over in Mysticism (for easter) because no one else was adding to it at the time. :) It's not cos I had a big head!
