  • Cream cheese and brussel sprouts on a bagel tastes really good as well.
I've been writing poetry on and off for a few years. "Medusa" was something i wrote a few months ago and decided to do a rewrite. Once in a while i'll write something like this, and hope it's understood. Thx. :)
Hmm....yes this is always a goal of mine. the person reading must take something more away than cheap entertainment. time eh......I am out of it tonight so I can recall which one you are talking about. glad you enjoyed it though.
Pretty good. Enjoying my dwindling moments of freedom. Classes start back up Tuesday. Lame, lame, lame.
I write because I need to get things out of my head and onto paper. It's not necessarily emotions I have, more like stories going on inside my brain that will never shut up until I write them down.
I have no idea. The poetry I read has nothing to do with the way I write. Well, except for Pablo Neruda. In my opinion he writes about "real life."
thanks for the comments my friend. keep writing and reading. we try to have fun at our family functions. if you can't enjoy that, what can you enjoy??
Yes, how could you not read the whole series? It's wondrous. I've read it all three times. He took so long between books 3 and 4 that I feared he wouldn't finish it. Then he had that accident that he actually included in the book, pure genius. I wasn't sure if I liked him including himself in the book, but it worked. I don't read everything by SK (not a big horror fan), but he is an epic writer! If you haven't read The Song of Fire and Ice series by George RR Martian, get it! It's equally as epic, and this is coming from a guy that has read hundreds of fantasy and Sci Fi books over the years. Like the Dark Tower series, we now wait for book 6, Dances with Dragons! Grrrr......
hmmmm. for video game music? I would recommend listening to some of Christopher Lennertz's score to "MOH: European Assault" the score to "Black" by Chris Tilton is great too, wonderfully crafted, very moody.
oh and there's a drum track i think you might enjoy. Google "subconcious drums" by justin r durban. www.justindurban.com or www.edgen.com. he's got some good stuff
hey! yeah, as far as stories go, really anything that feels like a lucid dream. Anything with imagery and mood and setting that's captivating and compelling. I like shorts a lot, because there is so much said with so little, and they do a great job of manipulating literary elements in those stories. i like ray bradbury, john grisham, randy alcorn, just to name a few.
as far as music goes, this might sound weird, but my favorite genre is orchestral/film scores. there's a complexity so innate, about each little piece of the orchestra all forming a coherent piece that's just intrinsically beautiful in my opinion. my musical palette is decently varied though, save for rap.
    how about you?
