When your mother reminds you that even as a baby, you had "that look" you could give someone that cuts right through them - the same look your father threatened several times to knock off your face.
When you read something funny or someone gives you a compliment and you start to smile. Or you think you start to smile. After a moment you realize your face hasn't changed at all and you're still deadpan.

And then subsequently leave said list on your desk and have to rely on memory of the List...get confused of first list, condensed list or last weeks list...say heck with it and sit down in coffee shop and make a new list with the self promise to cross check this list with the one you left on your desk.
