Scientists and physicians send appeal about 5G rollout and health dangers to the European Union
On September 13, 2017, more than 180 scientists and doctors sent an 11-page Appeal for a moratorium on the roll out of 5G in the European Union.
The reason for the appeal is that “RF/EMF has been proven to be harmful for humans and the environment,” but 5G has not been investigated fully for potential health hazards and environmental impact by INDEPENDENT scientists other than industry scientists, who apparently would rubber stamp 5G similarly as the other generations of telecommunications updates have been.
According to the Appeal, 5G is effective only over short distances and is transmitted poorly through solid materials. Because of that inefficiency in transmission, a tremendous number of antennas or cell towers will be needed to implement 5G service.
One key paragraph jumped out for me:
With “the ever more extensive use of wireless technologies,” nobody can avoid being exposed. Because on top of the increased number of 5G-transmitters (even within housing, shops and in hospitals) according to estimates, ”10 to 20 billion connections” (to refrigerators, washing machines, surveillance cameras, self-driving cars and buses, etc.) will be part of the Internet of Things. All these together can cause a substantial increase in the total, long term RF-EMF exposure to all EU citizens. [CJF emphasis]

Probably like you i wouldn't mind if people want to embrace this technology at their own risk. Individual adults are responsible for themselves and their own bodies but the issue with the 5G roll out is that it will affect everyone and there is no opt out
There is already scientific evidence that cell phone masts are bad for health and to make 5G work they will need far more base stations dotted around the country. They are speaking about hundreds of thousands if not millions of these smaller 5G masts
So for example if you live on a street of people they could be on every second lamppost. In towns in england they are chopping down thousands of trees eg in sheffield to make way for 5G.

No. I worship no one and never will. It's like an alien race would pop up at my lawn, I'd be delighted but not scared. But what I just might do is is have an AI friend of mine in the future. I'd like to teach feeling to a machine, could be interesting.
Anyways, I do believe that the sharing of AI software everywhere is very dangerous. Really, but I don't think that it's just as bad as people are afraid of. Think about it. Artificial intelligences of this date need a shit load of training to do what they do. If there are no humans to teach how to execute the total world domination program, how in the hell will they ever be able to achieve it? They will fail, the technology isn't that advanced at the moment that it would pose a major threat. A threat for sure, but more micro than macro scale threat.

once they introduce a social credit score i doubt you will be so confident because then you'll need to tow the line to access goods and services
once they make all currency digital and you've lost your job to automation and are dependent on universal basic income from the government i doubt you'll sound so confident
once you are given an implantable microchip in order to access that UBI i doubt you'll sound so confident
because if you don't do what they want they'll simply shut off your chip and then you'll have no access to digital currency and no access to goods and services within their corporate dominated world

Reading through this thread reminds me of when I was a child and my grandma would tell me her crackpot theories about compulsory government microchipping, black unmarked helicopters patrolling the skies, and mandatory drugs that will make us all atheist. Fear of the future and technophobia is nothing new, this is just, as @latch said, a different flavor.
i don't have a fear of technology or of the future
i just don't trust the people who control the technology because i know a lot about those people and what they want to do with society
