It's fine to have your own personal preference on how you would like your interpersonal interactions to be, but to assert your own personal preferences as the "right" way to do things is overreaching. To take on the perspective that your personal preference is "right" and everyone else is "wrong" and perhaps not worthy of having a romantic relationship, or not worthy of your respect, is just an ego trip.
