I knew he'd go bad sooner or later. Just watching him threatening to kill people with trays in the canteen was what tipped me off. The man was a walking timebomb of bad decisions.
 
Master Anakin, what are you doing? That money doesn't belong to you. Sigh... he hasn't listened to me since he fell to the dark side.
 
I bet he picked this up from Watto. Bad influence that fellow was.

He was doing a public service actually. He saw the bank dismiss the guards earlier in the day so he came with a gun to prove a point. He said "You are unwise to lower your defenses."
