The level of tolerance for sexual assault by society and the media is unfathomable. Why is there an overwhelming need to sweep the victims of sexual assault under the rug, even go so far as punish them for protecting themselves, then allow the perpetrators to get off scot free?

This isn't a fucking race issue.

No one should live in fear of being physically/sexually assaulted, especially when they're just trying to go to school or get home.
