Generation We said:
“Our nation’s continued dependence on oil has weakened our economy and stifled innovation, left us dependent on foreign countries — some who sponsor terrorism against us — and dragged us into unnecessary wars.”

Obama said his number two priority, right after ensuring the financial stability of the United States, would be working toward fixing the energy crisis. With that in mind...

Would you be in favor of launching a concerted national effort, similar to the Apollo Program that put a man on the moon, with the goal of moving America beyond fossil fuels and inventing the next generation of energy?

dont need to intent it. That was done almost a hundred years ago by intelligent men. We just need to implement it

Yes, my platform please...? Returning to a pre 60's environment, free from today's petro-based economy will for many reasons have a huge impact on our overall health and well-being; however, my designer bent is to provide information to the consumer on how having the petro-based culture is effecting not only the environment at large, but the health of the home. We are, in sum, living in a toxic soup and we need to do more than just simply replace lightbulbs, use organic cleaners and toilet paper.

Returning to simpler, refined and considered interior design requires that we have processes built in to designing that are not using petro-based products, minimizing off-gassing products. The toxins we and our children are exposed to is having impact on who we are, how we react, how we learn, our moods or physical and emotional well-being. It is effecting everyone here today.

Fire retardants permanently flood our bodies since they are sprayed onto everything, from mattresses to sofas, to many, many carpet pads...It can also be found in every drop of ocean water. We have been showing ourselves in this toxin and others...

GO. Generation Obama.

Like Shai said, answers are already there we just need to get over the politics (and loss of money to business involved in the oil industry who have an unbelievable amount of political pull) and develop/implement it.

The problem is not technology, the problem is big business and their lobbying power. While it should happen, I'd be somewhat surprised if anything significant happened quickly, it would be one hell of a shake-up.
