One Sentence Story

"Quick: follow me," her dog said in haste.
 
The dog led her down a winding path and up to the entrance of a vast cavern
 
One small alcove had purple drapes shielding its contents from her view and her dog sarcastically said "Don't look in there.".
 
"Why?" she asked, increasingly annoyed by her dog's creepy comments.
 
Her dog looked at her with disappointment, then turned and scampered out of the cave never to be seen again.
 
so she pulled aside the drapes and went in

Her phone beeped, she reached into her pocket, and saw the text message.

She tried reading the text but each time she made out a word it jumbled into another word.
 
Then she finally felt the drug's dusty fingers, threading like death through her bloodstream, as her vision blackened and the world dissolved.
 
" I better start puking" she said.

she felt an old memory arise from a time before, a life before.

The sun shone in through the neaby gap, lighting the space, and dispelling the shadows from her.
 
She watched the ray beam as it crossed the darkness and alighted the portrait.
