I'm not a Trump supporter. I'm not a wishy washy SJW. I try to be objective and seek the truth. The ideal candidate did not exist last year. Both Trump and Hillary had serious issues that made their presidency potentially negative. Bernie was a hit among some but he was not going to win and his policies were wishy washy and more likely to cause more damage than good. No one should go into lifelong debt to pay for college but federally funded "free" college is just unrealistic.

Anyway those relentless Bernie supporters decided to stay home or vote for Stein. When Trump won (in part because of their lack of support to the candidate that defeated Bernie) they decided to take on the streets, set fires, riot, and continue their complete lack of a grip by repeating mindlessly that Trump is "not their president". Well news flash SJWs, he IS your president. You may not like the idea. You may protest against him as per the 1st amendment. Just get a small grip of reality and start making some better choices.

I can't believe an infj is telling them to get real but they're just completely off the reservation.

Lord Jesus, take me from this hell now!
Could we possibly open up a Trump subforum??? Mods?? lol.

Bernie would have won if he was the nominee but the Dems suck and risked destroying the party for Hillary. (A poem for you.)

This is not a Trump thread, it's an anti mindless thread. Trump supporters who don't even know what he stands for are equally bad. I just wanted to point the stupidity of the not my president protests.

Bernie would have won only because of how many negatives Trump had. He would have been crushed by any other Republican. Now as to whether it was rigged to help Hillary and cheat Bernie out of the nomination, let's assume it was, just for a moment. Once she was nominated, his supporters should have realized it was over and acted accordingly based on what they considered was the greater evil (for them, Trump) instead they keep living on cloud 9 and then they protest. That's what I was calling out.

Bernie and Trump are both populists, just on opposite ends of the spectrum. We needed a populist to defeat a populist. Hillary didn't have a chance. I'm definitely not happy Trump won but accept that he is president.

I disagree with the protests being called stupid. It was very hard for me to vote for Hillary, but I did because I just saw Trump as more of a catastrophe than she would have been. I don't disparage anyone for voting their conscience. The DNC screwed everyone over. And maybe this loss was necessary to push the party to change to more progressive grassroots and working class activism. Maybe the Democratic party is being refined by fire right now.

I think the protests should keep up. I think people should continue to voice their disagreement. There is a lot at stake, healthcare, education, the environment, social programs for our most vulnerable populations, corruption, etc. etc. It sends a message and a good leader listens to others.

I agree with the populist vs populist and your ideas are clear and respectable. I'm not a big fan of some of the things going on but I would be very happy to see obamacare replaced with something better. It would please me to see a successful Trump presidency despite his obvious and dangerous temperament issues.

As far as calling the protests stupid I may have not been clear enough. I'm not against protesting Trump policies with which you disagree. That's democracy. What I said was that protesting with the phrase: not my president is retarded. Hate him or love him he is your president. Disagreeing with him doesn't remove him from office.

I guess I see protesting him as president as the same as protesting his agenda. He went into office saying he had a mandate to put his agenda through. I don't believe people protesting his presidency believe he will step down. It's more a way of saying he did not win the popular vote and he has no mandate.

The people agree with Bernie because he is a breath of fresh air in our stifling, corrupt, crony society... however, most of his supporters don't even have a remote understanding of what socialism is.

Shhhhhhhh!!! Careful! You will wake the locals!
If that happens soon your thread will be full of mindless chatter and you won't be able to pick out a relevant post from all the nonrelevant drivel. Then you we be shunned and ridiculed in the back recesses of this forum for suggesting Hilary was not only the only choice but not an actual good choice for America.
Shhhh!

Oh you....

No different than the tea party shenanigans and other protests against Obama. There may be hooligans acting like poopie turds and damaging property, but many of the protests against Obama were racist as fuck....

Shillary paid them in shillings.
Shillary shelled out in shillings by the seashore

Seashore Shillary shyly shelled out in shillings so shrimp and sharks can shit sunshine and shout at sheep on the shelf in the shed... "Not my president!"

My purpose was to point out irrational behavior not to make people do what I say. I cannot possibly modify the behavior of one irrational person let alone hundreds of thousands.

Irrational behavior is coming from both ends of the spectrum when it comes to Trump haters & Trump supporters alike.
