So this is what keeps bugging me, apparently the most important thing about the whole MBTI are these cognitive functions... you may identify with almost every possible description of the INFJ type - i mean being compassionate, hate conflict, prefer big picture over details, being soft, being weird, being emotionally intense, being introspective etc, etc, etc... but all that matters in the end, what truly makes you the type you scored on the test, are these cognitive functions, i mean the ones you should prefer given the result of the test...
now i wonder, what "prefer" means? Is it meant as something you just use automatically, sub-consciously, when dealing with various things, people or situations.... or does this mean, that you prefer it, cause you more like it that way, but this does not have to be exclusively how you approach things most of the time? I have been thinking really hard, how introverted intuition manifests in my case and i really struggled... its supposed to make me look for new ways of doing things, being creative etc... but i do not see myself as creative, as i think most of the times i tend to do things same way, i rely on my fairly good memory and if i cant remember how to do something, i just google it
this would probably point toward introverted sensation as my prefered function, but...
there are times, when i am allowed to be creative, when i feel like it and this is actually what i like to do, when my boss says he would like to do this and that, as long as its not something scarying me, i enjoy the challenge to look for a solution, to learn something new. I like looking for info/things all over internet and i think i become quite good at it, i can find something about anything... i decided recently i wanted to learn how to do those 3D photos, you know when background keeps moving against the objects upfront, so it gives it very nice 3D effects, although its made out of standard photo, its used lot of times these days in documentaries made out of old photos... it took me about five minutes to find out its called "kid stays in the picture", nice video tutorial how to do it and on the very next day i made my first thing like this... and yeah, i enjoyed it way, way more than almost mechanically doing something else n-th time...
bottom line, i can perhaps come with few examples of being more N than S, but i still probably tend to be S more often than not, either out of default lazyness or just fear of trying something new, even though i would like to... so what is mine prefered way?
