We are called to believe in God but who does God believe in? God is a Humanist. With a capital H.

Theologically, the center and purpose of everything is not man, which is the whole philosophy of humanism, but the final and highest purpose and mean of everything is God. God does not believe, God knows that He is "from the beginning", the maker of all things.

It was written better than I can explain my thoughts in Romans 8.

Future Glory
(2 Corinthians 5:1-10)
18For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

I think God knows, like LucyJr said, what He has done and what He expects. What does He believe in? That is almost like asking what His religion is. He is.

Well first off "we are called" is a bit misleading. Who is we? Next, "God is" is also misleading because it comes off as sounding like a foundational statement.
Perhaps, "For those of we who believe in God, it is a humanist. "

God is foundational, called the Rock of Ages, the stone that was cast aside now being made the cornerstone.

I dont mean that in any theological or abstract and suspect sense which can be twisted to serve pretty much anything.

I simply meant we are called in the sense that we are compelled, if you'd prefer to think about the opening sequence of Hellboy The Golden Army than Sunday School then work away.

Man is made in the image of God though.

He?

That's tricky, but I don't think it works any way. Actualy, it can be very silly.
I think you are trying to say that the myth of God has originated under the umbrella of humanism...but what if that is not true?
What if humanity is a creation of God and not God a creation of humanity?

I dont think God is a creation of humanity at all, I think there's been a progressive discovery of just what God is besides from all the succession of mistaken beliefs of past ages, the Jewish schisms with other sects is largely a history of their rejecting others deities or deification of the elements as idolatry.

I do believe that God is a humanist and as a consequence humanism is divinely ordained but not humanism in a worldy sense which is secular and atheistic.
