Family holiday traditions

Hello everyone, I am hosting Thanksgiving in my family for the first time ever. I want to make it about something more than just food and my family doesn't really do anything but eat. I thought I would ask about your guys traditions during the holidays and the types of activities you do. To keep it from getting polarizing or hung up on the fine details we will say the end of year holidays in general so that everyone in every country can participate.

What are some fun things you do, and ideas of things you would like to try?

A bonfire with hot mulled wine or cider is a pleasant wind down to a gathering. There's something comforting about the taste of cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel in a hot beverage. Sitting in a circle in the dark of night, staring at yellow embers with the smell of smoke somehow puts people into a relaxed friendly mood.
