Changing Education

Now normally I'd write a whole shpeel about how I think and feel about this and yada yada yada, but I don't want to create a prompt for this. I urge anyone interested in education to watch this video, mull it over, and then respond. I am extremely curious as to what people think...like freakishly curious. It's an 11 minute video, but entirely worth your time.

This talk is more in depth than the first one he gave at a TED conference back in 2006 ( I think that's when it was). He's very good at challenging the current paradigm we hold in the West for "Good Education".

And - He's totally correct of course.

I thought that was an excellent video, and I agree with him completely. I've been saying much the same thing for a while now, ever since finding out about things like unschooling and the Montessori model of education.
