Again, more systemic racism.

Racism is an uncomfortable and difficult topic that always incites anger. It is important that these conversations are had anyway because although corruption will always exist somewhere, peaceful societies can and do exist when the midset of the society as a whole changes. Denial of the things that make you uncomfortable is not a solution, scapegoating is not a solution, and stereotyping is not a solution. With that being said, people have freedom of speech and thought therefore if someone wants to be racist then fine, but why do you deny/hide it, play a game of semantics, downplay the significance of the damage done? The Boston bombers, snipers, school shooters, and bulk of serial rapist and murders are not minorities. Thank god they did not live in places like Missouri and Florida because they would have never been caught based on america's apparent hoodie and baggy pants phobia.
What we learn from slavery and racism in America and other parts of the world is the propensity for violence is in all of us; we are all responsible for our actions and those actions are not attributed to race. We send a man to the moon and look at sub-atomic particles but we don't grasp that a person who robbed you, raped you, punched you, did not do it because of their race. C.R.I.M.I.N.A.L.I.T.Y. is the word that needs to be studied, understood, and debated on tv if anyone wants to actually be safe in their neighborhood. This segues into what posters like KORG were saying. If people are tired of hearing the word racism it should be because they are tired of hearing about another incident in their country, so stand up, call it out, stomp it out, and let people know you have zero tolerance to ignorance and will judge every person by the character the present so they should think about how they carry themselves. Profiling means to make this your responsibility. You will be wrong most of the time and the actual criminals will never be caught. Not to hijack this thread but governments themselves are very criminal (not conspiracy theories) and "petty" racism is a good distraction.

You hijacked nothing…very well said.
I agree with everything you wrote Sir.

There is a whole group of people who have their heads buried in the sand now…either they are holding their ears going “Lalalalala” or they believe those who are ACTUALLY racist themselves who have convinced people via certain media outlets that it only exists in the mind of people like Al Sharpton and Obama…which is silliness.
It is a very real situation here in America still…not just with black Americans, but hispanics, middle easterners…I mean, who can deny the venom of those who held up signs in front of buses holding children fleeing violence in their own country. This is also the same group that tries to use religion as an excuse…that actually has the gall to call themselves and this nation “Christian”, all while ignoring the very basic commandments they allude to follow.
I find it fascinating and incredibly frightening all at once personally.

In my opinion the governments here promote the idea of racism because they include race in all of their applications and data collected. For years the social workers have been questioning the legitimacy of this idea. For example I work with children who have chronic health care conditions such as cerebral palsy and genetic disorders. Who cares what the race of the child is...it only matters they have a chronic health condition and need assistance with complex medical needs. Yet the State still makes us identify the race - even while there isn't actually a box to select on our forms we use. There is so much blending going on now these days who can tell who is what race? I've begun making everybody white. Hahahaha....that'll blow the legislators stupid narrow minds.

Anyway - the state government here where I work constantly brings up race to try to stir it up amongst the communities. In the rural areas it's clear there is strong prejudice because they perceive(erroneously) a certain race getting money and resources while other races do not.
It's all a game to the government and they laugh while people fight against each other.

So what you all are suggesting is that the municipalities on the mainland will bleed the country dry so the military states of the territories will come and take over the country for themselves? Can you cite historical examples for consideration?

I do think that there are some out there that would love nothing better…though personally I feel that those who have maintained power over the minority races (which won’t be minorities much longer) have more or less treated them as second-class citizens…but more than that, they have taken advantage of them in various ways.
The exploitation of undocumented workers from the southern countries is a good example…or the jailing of young black men into a for-profit prison system is another good example.
The Fergueson Police Dept. and city, has been caught blatantly acting is what one would deem a “racist” manner - http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/05/opinions/brown-ferguson-report/

We now have racism incognito calling any minorities who speak out - the REAL racists.
Really? Or that the President is a racist and he’s only helping those who aren’t white.
Their thinly veiled disguise of speaking out against minority racism directed at them is laughable.
Yes, us white folk here in the US are so repressed! Poor white people.

I do think that there is a certain amount of media fuckery being done to stir up racism more than it needs to be because it makes for good news.
But more than that…it just shows the amount of underhanded racism still being promoted by the assclowns on TV.

The real underlying issue is class warfare.
It’s the rich against the poor…and the poor tend to be those races who have been systematically disenfranchised by this nation.
I can cite you endless sources for this if you like other than those already supplied in this thread.

I popped in and read some of the lasts posts. I am surprised no one is talking about the recent murder performed by a police officer.

I don’t think that anyone is denying the officer took it beyond acceptable limits by shooting a man in the back 8 times while he was fleeing.
There is still some question as to what took place right before the shooting…but that hardly makes what transpired after reasonable.
Why are we having so many cops jumping to deadly force should be the real question here.
Was it racially motivated…maybe…it’s still unclear what was going through the officer’s head.
The statistical data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics reports -

  • Black drivers (12.3%) were about three times as likely as white drivers (3.9%) and about two times as likely as Hispanic drivers (5.8%) to be searched during a traffic stop in 2008.

Interesting take. I believed from the start the Ferguson incident was likely justified. As it turns out I was correct as far as the public knows. This recent incident though I believe is a clear case why there needs to be screening before anyone is given a gun and sent out into public to protect the public. I think the guy was simply a murderer at heart to begin with. If he didnt become a cop I bet he would have been a serial killer.

No matter your take on the Michael Brown shooting, you didn’t answer my question.
According to the statistical data…not just in New York, but in many parts of this country, minorities are being singled out.
Why is that you think?

People see what they want.
Beyond that its the gang mentality. This helped humans survive in a hostile environment but...unchecked it does the exact opposite.

Please explain?
Are you inferring that all minorities act with a gang mentality?
Are they not all individual thinkers?

I could probably bounce that back at you inferring that Fox News viewers are the victims of mass hysteria.

No. Gang mentality is a human thing.

I have to step back my friend…no politics for a few days…I gotta relax my body and let some tension go…I can’t debate with you for a while as even small amounts of it are being detrimental to my overall health right now.

I believe that we as humans can rise above such mentalities.
IMO more people on this earth want to live peacefully, than those who stir discontent.

We can discuss further in a few days.
Thanks.

Ok. My recent comments have nothing to do with politics at all. I have no idea why you mentioned foxnews as an example. My comments only focus on human nature and that nature does not change regardless of what race you are.

If you need to step back then I suppose you will.
