  • I cant even fathom making a vid of myself when I can barely post any pics...I have a few...VERY few...Maybe three...Im way to shy for my own good...
Hehe, yup. Same sentiments on touching. And no, I guess I'm too much of an introvert to have the courage to make that video. :-)
Heh, as an INFJ, I understand both the urge to give a man-hug and the subsequent cringe at the thought of touching someone. More proof that you're one of us.
Both types fill a similar psychological niche, but approach it from opposite angles. The easiest difference to spot is the J and the P.

INFJs want to define things, understand things, make decisions (so much that we often refuse to make them until we are certain), and put things in boxes. INFJs love harmony that stems from order, and having everything neatly defined and in its correct place, whether physically, intellectually, or emotionally brings us that harmony. INFJs feel harmony by making plans. INFJs are willing to suffer to help others - we are moved by a desire to help more than the suffering of others. INFJs will help when there is no need.

INFPs want to avoid labels, avoid obligations, and remove things from boxes. I've noticed that labels, obligations, and even concepts in boxes are offensive to a lot of INFPs. INFPs seem to want harmony to result from all restrictions being removed and everything going in whatever direction it wants, constantly changing. INFPs feel constricted by plans. INFPs want to help others who are suffering - they are moved by the plight of others more than a desire to help. INFPs are motivated to help by need.
Personally, you've always struck me as an INFJ online. You seem like all the other INFJs here. Your vibe, intention, approach, etc. all line up with the other INFJs.

Edit: An INFP would never be so concerned about getting their type correct. That's a J thing. If you're a male and you're pretty sure you're an F, then you are an F. Gender roles make us mold ourselves to appear more T. That only leaves INFJ, which is a perfect mix of the types you're confused about.

But lastly, I don't know of a single INFJ who has not doubted their type at least once. Most of us doubt it frequently.
Well, I could use the INTJ logic on you. One of the really good questions they asked was "What do you do when you are really angry?" I always pull away from the world when I reach my limit for anger or hurt. There were a few other good points that convinced me I'm an introvert, but maybe that will help you.
I had a very long conversation with a set of INTJs who convinced me that I'm not an ENFJ, but am a very well developed INFJ. I put up a good fight, but they won it, hands down.
    Thank you. You're sweet. : ]

If you don't mind my asking, what is your name? I always just think of you as RememberWhenItRained.
Heh. I am running on fumes...and it's probably time to start going to bed at a decent hour so I don't keep waking up exhausted. :D You're right.
To be honest I slept almost the entire day today and now I need to work on hw..also adding to that I drank a bunch of caffeine to keep me awake..
Lately, it seems par for the course...but things will get better. They usually do. :)
:D I haz an INTJ, and I loves him...I think that is what my cousin is too...but he has very F moments too, just like you do so maybe you are an INTF in pjs???
Its frustrating...We all go through it and eventually we just accept who we are...we say yea I am an INFJ...and I have my P moments...Or some days my TI likes to freak out...Sometimes me E tried to abduct me...but I am me, and INFJ is the best description of me so here I will stay an INF in PJ...they're soft :D
It depends on what it is. A few people in my family (my Mom included) are battling one kind of serious health issue, or another. So things can be a bit frustrating. :/
