The Doctor's "daughter" was only his daughter as she was cloned from his DNA, and she died in that episode she was in.

That last episode was emotionally brutal. I didn't think Amy's departure would be as heartbreaking as Rose's was, but wow...it was.

Because I was not the only person who experienced these things, and often there were multiple people present. Also, the paranormal investigators were very thorough as far as ruling out structural or electrical issues. Oh, and it was a she, not a he. :)
