I think that this is an inevitable human trait. No one can escape it. If you think about it...you can only essentially care about something, if it's SOMEHOW connected to you- if YOU care about it, if YOU think about it, if it affects YOU, etc. That being said, people tend to stop caring too...

Not really, I can be interested in a guy non-sexually but I'd want him to be my boyfriend. It's just really caring towards each other and being able to love the other person no matter what happens...I guess this is "real friendship" to some people, but that's love to me, and labels don't matter.
