  • Auto-win indeed. Especially since we're so not suspicious looking. We're like Ninjas that hide in plain view.

Toronto isn't bad at all. You have some questionable neighborhoods, yeah, but at the core of downtown, it's a fairly safe place till late, late night.

We'd have to wait and see and actually coordinate this. lol. It would be pretty cool.
Well, they got heckled by a pan-handler. If we do Detroit, we can at least say we got mugged at gun-point by a thug who was totally legit and shit, y'know? Now whose story is automatically more bad-ass, hmm? :p But too true. We should do it on one of our hometurfs, either Lansing or Toronto, so we don't wander into the questionable neighborhoods :p
Sweetness, you've seen nothing yet. I'm a total rebel. 6 am wake and bakes, Pixar movies and homemade Angus burgers for breakfast are just the tip of the iceberg to my strangeness :p
That's awesome! I'm completely jealous. I bet you had loads and loads of fun doing that this weekend. Good company, great music, participation. Yeah!

Honestly, one of us has to hop the border one of these days. It'd be cool to just hang out.
No, that was yesterday. We watched Bolt and had a big ass BBQ in the backyard at 8:30 am in the morning (you heard me, 8 AM. We got started at 6 too. Most people sleep in on Saturdays; we went straight to work. lol).

Today we just polished off what was left and got that good philosophical mellow.
LOL. Maybe I'm beginning to wind down a little. My best gauge is the "Double Rainbow" video. It doesn't quite crack me up that much when I'm normal.
Bah, that's an every day occurrence for me. Even when I'm totally sober, I do and say some pretty dumb ass things... but of course, don't realize it until I pause and reflect. (And lo and behold, our discussion has now been illuminated by an self-deprecating example ;)).
I agree, life should have background music. That was actually my sig quote for a while too. :)
And by the way, I'm probably going to wake up tomorrow morning, read all this and think: WTF were you on about, girl?
Dude, if it makes sense to anyone right now, it's me. I am at one with the universe!

It's interesting because that's how every single one of us lives our lives. It's why we have no sense of what it is we have or have experienced until it's gone; everything is understood best in retrospect. But movies and television shows (and to a lesser extent, books) make it seem like life can be this exciting adventure and that the characters are so self-aware that they're part of something exhilarating or profound, that it gives you, the viewer, the sense that's how you should lead your life every day. It makes some people long for a feeling that's very rare to experience on a consistent basis and to have that expectation as a coveted lens to experience the world is a perfect example of idealistic illusion perpetuated by the media.
I think they were aware that they were part of something important. After all, the media made such a big deal out of it and it was every bit political as it was scientific. Imagine what would have happened if the Russians were first? Would it have made a cultural impact large enough to tilt the scales in the favour of communism, as it was believed?

I imagine the whole research and work that went into it was pretty dramatic. Especially in the final stages.
I had a wonderful Sunday night. I pondered the mysteries of the universe. Like, the moon; it's actually pretty neat to think that we walked on that thing once... and that we got there by what is basically a contained explosion. Just a bunch of nerds who delighted in blowing things up when they were snot-nosed kids, got together one day and, using computers that were more or less as powerful as our modern day graphing calculators, decided to have a race with the Russians to see who could blast their guy off the planet first. Amazing.
You dastardly fiend! Trying to give me an appetite! *shakes fist* Well, sorry to say, your ploy won't work. I've already had half a bag of m&m's and super chocolately protein shake. So there.

As for the song, no pressure. I just thought you might enjoy it.
I know how that goes. Once you get back into the swing it will be fine. I really have a hard time getting motivated to go job hunting too. It was already enough of a bitch without the economy being as shitty as it is.

I have been playing on the Spanish guitar a lot recently. Other than that just reading and trying to ignore everyone. Not that I am saying I want to ignore you or anyone on the forums.
    Hi :):)

I think like Arby said, that you fit the 1-4-7 angle. It's just a matter of figuring out your core one. Personally I get a pretty strong type 4 from you, though 1 could also work. I think you have a high drive for justice, and I believe you are a perfectionist, this combined with type 2 which likes to aid others. 4 can also work in the sense that you feel different, individuality is very important to you. 4 by itself fits you the best in my opinion, but I don't see you with a 3 or 5 wing, since I really don't see much detachment or need to give the best self-image. :)
