In 1936 a drop bear, acting under orders of the australian intelligence agencies assassinated hitler. he was replaced by a bunyip changeling who then proceeded to start ww2 by invading the land of the under-elves, and then trying to decimate their allies the jews before they could cast the sheeny curse.

It was all an innocent mistake that just kept escalating. All Australia wanted was global dominance.

No, that's the time frame. Heh, it's just that the hobbits spent 29 years in that cave giggling and poking the spiders. Hobbitses are a dread part of spider mythology as "weave-breakers", "horrid-noise-makers" and "prodders".
