I get the impression from a lot of the people I meet trying to discuss topics online that they dont discuss the same topics with a lot of other people, which gave me the idea for this thread.
I already posted about the emotional poverty of much of what passes for discussion on forums online, I've heard people bemoan the supposed intellectual poverty of posts online before, which IS a thing I suppose, but I see more emotional volatility and blow ups online than I do simple stupidity, at least that covers it lately.
However, besides how emotionally charged I tend to find online discussions turn they are also often on pretty niche topics, so I figure people dont experience them sorts of things coming up too often in casual conversion, perhaps I'm mistaken about that, what do you think?
