It's a card game and roleplaying game from the 90s that is a fantasy samurai ninja setting.

There were originally not that many... Crab, Dragon, Crane, Lion, Unicorn, Phoenix... then they added Scorpion, Spider, Mantis, and a few others. Also, there were some lesser clans mentioned here and there like the Falcon and Wasp clans who had bad ass archers. I don't know how many there are now. It's been years since I've looked into L5R.
