I wonder what blowing stuff up with electricity looks like on faster footage than that.

e: I'm all of a sudden reminded of the part in Evangelion where they shoot Ramiel with a literal energy rifle that requires a nationwide logistic mobilization just to funnel electricity to the damn thing.

This is basically that but less insane.

Yeah it's even more epic in the remake. Especially when it isn't effective and Ramiel gets pissed and shoots back with an even more epic weapon.
