I've seen a fakeumentary before (not saying this is one), where jesus was most likely taken to india to study Buddhism after egypt since that's where the holy men came from. They thought he was the reincarnation of Buddha. He was given on the cross a honey/herb mixture which acted as a tranquilizer which was seen to induce or fake death, common to help suffering people on the cross. when he woke from his induced coma he kept going about the teaching, and then left back for india where he taught for another 60 years. he was buried in the jewish fashion not the indian one, and his tomb showed his feet and hands to have holes in them.

the documentary might have been a fake, but it certainly gave me pause to reconsider the christian faith as jesus said it, and the buddhist ideals once more and I've had the same thoughts.

I love the Gnostic Gospels actually. Some of the Language in Thomas is so BEAUTIFUL. Have you read the gospel of Judas? It certainly puts a different spin on things. I saw a cool Documentary on the History channel postulating what Jesus did during those 18 lost years and where he went.

Woah! I just read that! (Gospel of Judas) It ws pretty confusing to me especially with all those missing words and lines. I don't understand it very much at all.

Another interesting take is Edgar Cayce's story of Jesus.
You may find this rather interesting...
