I've been wanting to do this for months and I figure now would be a good time to start. There are literally thousands of webcomics on the internet and I am addicted to reading them. Unfortunately, there is a lot of poorly done work mixed in with the truly amazing stuff and so I wanted to provide a resource for those who share my love for this genre. Every comic I include in this thread will be recommended by me and many will vary significantly in the type of characters, storyline, humor, art, etc.

I wish to only keep comics that I have reviewed myself within this thread, so if you feel there is one deserving of special mention, then please PM it to me and I will read over it and include it if I like it. I will include a section under each comic for "Members who recommend" so if you like a comic that is posted in this thread, then PM me and and I will include your user name under the section. The only reason I have this thread in the Entertainment section instead of the Blog section is because I want it to show in Google searches so that we may attract new members who share a love for webcomics. I'll try to get several posted today.

Comic title: Tales of the Questor

Genre: Fantasy Adventure
Link: http://www.rhjunior.com/totq/00001.html
Progress: Ongoing, updated weekly.

Art: 3 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: 5 out of 5 stars.
Storyline: 5 out of 5 stars.

Character style: Anthromorphs, Monsters, Humans
Humor type: Clean and cute.
Rating: PG

Basic Review: Many people would be turned off by this comic's art, since the artist is not particularity good at drawing human type characters. However, the artist captures a certain cuteness with the main character, Qwentyn, and his race, which he fondly dubbed the "Raconan". Where this comic shines is in how it makes you fall in love with the main character and his struggles. The storyline isn't anything unique, as it seems to be a mixture of Japanese and European folklore, but it is done in such a way as to create a magical world that you just crave to know more about. At points there are strong Christian themes but they are done in a very tasteful and inspiring way.

Comic title: Suicide for Hire

Genre: Dark, Philosophical
Link: http://suicideforhire.comicgenesis.com/d/20041022.html
Progress: Ongoing, updated weekly.

Art: 5 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: 4 out of 5 stars.
Storyline: 3 out of 5 stars.

Character style: Anthromorphs
Humor type: Dark, Sadistic
Rating: R

Basic Review: This comic is an unapologetic Social Darwinistic perspective on humanity. The basic premise behind the storyline is that the two main characters end up in a business where they help people who wish to kill themselves, accomplish the task in very symbolic and sadistic ways. Unless you have a dark sense of humor, you will probably not enjoy this comic. However the comic is deserving of mention for its strong artwork, its sheer originality, and how it challenges political correctness. The creator brings the conflict that the reader feels in themselves into a battle within one of the main characters. The only major flaw with the comic is it is incredibly wordy with large blocks of text.

Comic title: Questionable Content

Genre: Near Future, Slice of Life, Science Fiction
Link: http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1660
Progress: Ongoing, updated daily (M-F).

Art: 5 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: 5 out of 5 stars.
Storyline: 3 out of 5 stars.

Character style: Humans, robots
Humor type: Wit, Sarcasm, Observational
Rating: PG-13

Basic Review: This comic is a classic. It's art has changed over the years dramatically. It has a slight near future/science fiction them derived from the intelligent robotic characters, known as ArthroPCs that have replaced desktop computers in this world. Without them, this comic is highly reminiscent of a "Friends" episode as it follows a bunch of 20 somethings in their romantic follies. The character development is superb and worthy of its own primetime sitcom.

Comic title: Better Days

Genre: Furry, Sexual, Political
Link: http://www.jaynaylor.com/betterdays/archives/2003/04/post-2.html
Progress: Complete.

Art: 5 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: 5 out of 5 stars.
Storyline: 5 out of 5 stars.

Character style: Anthromorphs
Humor type: Sexual, political, observational
Rating: R

Basic Review: This comic goes into areas of sexuality that most comics would not dare tread. It has even developed a controversy on the internet for themes which I will not share here (because it would spoil the surprise). It follows a family as the kids grow into adulthood. There are libertarian and atheistic themes throughout the storyline but the real story is the sexual encounters and romances that emerge over the course of a brother and sister's life. This comic is in the top 5 in every furry lovers repertoire.

Progress: Updated every few days.

Art: N/A
Character Development: N/A
Storyline: N/A

Character style: Stickfigure
Humor type: Satire, Intellectual.

Basic Review: Not every comic needs sophisticated art, character development, and plot to be worthy of mention. This strip is simply one of the funniest of its kind on the web. Heavy themes in math and language.

Comic title: Ctrl Alt Delete

Genre: Gamer, Science Fiction

Progress: Ongoing, updated weekly

Art: 5 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: 4 out of 5 stars.
Storyline: 3 out of 5 stars.

Character style: Humans, robots
Humor type: Geek
Rating: PG

Basic Review: One of the best gaming comics on the internet. The only word that probably can be used to describe it is "zany". It took me about a week to read through the 8 years of comics and it was nostalgic reliving all the old gaming systems. If you have ever wondered what your life may have been like had you dedicated it to gaming, then this comic is for you.

Comic title: Fur Piled

Genre: Gay Theme, Furry
Link: http://www.liondogworks.com/fur-piled/en/01
Progress: Ongoing, updated weekly

Art: 4 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: 5 out of 5 stars.
Storyline: 5 out of 5 stars.

Character style: Anthromorph
Humor type: Situational
Rating: PG-13

Basic Review: This is one of the most popular gay themed web comics on the internet. It explores the relationships and struggles of several different characters. The storylines are dramatic and the characters could have been pulled from real life. The fact that it is a furry comic takes a distant second to the quality of the comic's character development and how it addresses gay issues.

Comic title: Cyanide & Happiness

Genre: Strip

Progress: Ongoing, updated daily (M-F)

Art: 2 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: N/A
Storyline: N/A

Character style: Stickfigure
Humor type: Shock, dark, slapstick, puns
Rating: PG-13

Basic Review: This is another one of those stick figure comic strips that is worthy of mention. The jokes are often based on shock humor or a witty play on words. This is definitely not the strip that you don't want to hang up on your cubicle wall at work.

Progress: Complete

Art: 3 out of 5 stars.
Character Development: 4 out of 5 stars.
Storyline: 3 out of 5 stars.

Character style: Anthromorphs
Humor type: Situational
Rating: R (Some furry nudity)

Basic Review: I have a soft spot in my heart for furry, gay comics and this was the first ones I ever read. It's a simple boy meets boy kind of story and the art isn't the greatest, but I read through it twice and will probably read through it again in the near future. And who doesn't love a gay raccoon?
