Saddest books you've ever read

I think there is much hope to be found at the heart of works like Crime and Punishment.
I agree.

What I'm after in a book is something concise, something I can finish in short timespan. The most fulfilling books are biographies. You can learn so much from them.

Honestly, I feel like I would have made many more personal mistakes if I did not have others to travel certain roads before I did. I spent some time looking for the perfect biography, a life where someone did most things "right" and so few people have.

The only person, as far as I'm concerned in contemporary history to do everything "right" was Dwight David Eisenhower.
