I first discovered Jill Bolte Taylor back in 2007 when she gave a presentation on her brain stroke. She was hyper focused on her brain while it was happening ....noticing step by step the process of her consciousness while the brain was losing vital life force energy of the blood flow. It's a mind blowing presentation.
Yesterday a friend of mine shared her book and how it helped her understand her own journey of awakening to Self. I found this quiz and it describes me perfectly.
May we all expand our understanding of our selves!
"According to Harvard-trained neuroscientist Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, the brain has four distinct subsections that influence our day-to-day lives. There are two emotional centers and two thinking centers—and these centers (which Dr. Jill thinks of as the “Four Characters” of your brain) each have their own skill-sets and strengths. While we have all Four Characters in our brain at all times, you may find that one is dominant while another rarely shows up. To truly live a life of peace, ease, and joy, you must bring these characters into conversation so you can choose which should take the lead in any situation. And the first step of that process is recognizing which is your primary character."
