Missing airplane (MH370)

A plane has mysteriously vanished on he 8th of March 2014 in the south china sea. Until now, no debris is found, the passengers are missing and despite any search efforts, no traces of the plane could be found. It just basically "vanished" from the radar.

So, what's your take on this. I would really like to hear your opinions. Any idea... really...

I'm surprised there isn't already a thread about this.
 
Why isn't there more information about this? Where is the news coverage? Are there any theories as to what happened?
 
I have found it highly curious too, in the age of google maps and seriously sophisticated tracking and state surveillience technology that it is still possible for something like a plane with over 200 people to go missing.

The most interesting thing I've heard about it so far has been that it possibly did not pitch into the sea but went inland and the people onboard were either killed or kidnapped with a view to being sold into slavery or trafficked.
