What are the liberal, socialist, and communist ideals in the modern world? I guess that would be things like unions, and .... what else?

Everyone is afforded the same things regardless of the work they do or dont do. The goverment tells you where you can work and live in accordance to how they decide to decide it. Often school testing will give them enough. Do poorly in school and be banished to sewage treatment etc...
Any ideas you have become the governments. You never "own" anything to include your own family, the government owns it all.
In short the government tell you how to live your life in all aspects.
I agree, these are all irrelevant in our day and age. Who in particular is advocating specifically to take away your ownership of your family (which you don't own your family by the way, human ownership is not a thing) and to give it to the government?
Yeah...that new plan that Betsy DeVos has for our children’s education is brilliant!
Instead of educating our children for the good of our society and nation, let’s give families vouchers!
So yes, they can “choose” to go to any school they want to...except that the vouchers are not going to cover the full cost of many schools and it will become even worse than it is now with rich families going to the good schools and poor kids getting what is affordable - are we going to start taking out student loans for primary education now?

And the healthcare in the US is AMAZEBALLS!

Then we can pass a tax bill that will give Trump a $15 Billion dollar personal deduction...where the tax cuts for corporations and the top 1% are permanent, but the BS “cut” the middle class is getting is NOT permanent and will be gone in a couple years...that will totally help the middle class.
Especially when their taxes will continue to rise after that with the majority of Americans predicted (by the GOP’s own CBO) to be paying higher taxes in several years (including the very poor)....while the other cuts for the rich are permanent....trickle down baby!! Works so well!
Not to mention the $1.5 Trillion added to the deficit which will be balanced by cutting social safety nets and programs that benefit the middle class and poor.
Also, the vilification of the poor is obvious and will eventually backfire in their faces...probably beginning in the mid-term elections.
So instead of ridding ourselves of the true welfare queens, the corporations and rich who pay little to no taxes - if they don’t get YOUR tax money back...who keep their money in offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes get the permanent cuts - we give them even bigger breaks at the expense of those most vulnerable - that also will really help the middle class and our society.
I especially like the 13 million + that are slated to LOSE or be priced out of health insurance...9 million children.

Or the slew of deductions that the middle class depend on that they are losing - traded for a temporary payroll cut that will expire...uber-lame.
Elderly with high medical costs? Sorry that deduction is GONE.

The government has embezzled all surplus Social Security revenue, generated by the 1983 payroll tax hike, and spent the money on wars and other government programs.
None of the money was saved or invested in anything.
So when they talk about cutting those “entitlements” - yes the people are indeed entitled to them - they paid for them with their payroll taxes, which had laws protecting it from exactly what Reagan did when he raided it back in the 80s.
So far....nothing has been done this whole year but passing this terrible “tax scam” and seating a bunch of conservative judges.

Your idea of a conversation is where you say something and it is not questioned. Further should it be questioned and you give bias information it is accepted as fact ending in that the arguing party realizes how wrong they were and thanks you for setting them straight. So that you know, this type of happening is not a conversation.
This was simply my attempt to offer an olive branch so to speak and to see if somehow with time a real conversation could take place.with you. For my part I am sorry for believing you could change so quickly. Perhaps instead of years I should be looking at decades or centuries.
