global warming is a religion it seems. Its literally a replacement for the hell and damnation part of christianity. Also climates change over the years, this is 100% natural. Lefties think we cant control our borders but we can control nature. These people are unhinged.
It took centuries for humans to learn not to shit in the water they drank. I am sure there were plenty who thought those who proposed not shitting where they drank were unhinged.

You really think some of the huge capitalist corporations, who support action to investigate global warming, are just "lefties" ? Ok.
There is a race on, to move away from fossil fuels to new, safer, cheaper energy sources. The countries and corporations who get their first will prosper. The rest maybe left behind for a generation. Or worse.
I'd prefer America and the West won that race, ahead of countries like China. You're right the climate does change naturally, the question is, are humans doing things that may accelerate that change. Regardless, the West needs to win that race. Even if the environment was of no concern, losing it would be unthinkable.
James one of the problems is that it's not about anyone "investigating" those claiming man made global warming have no concern with investigation. They feel as if the verdict is in already. They heard somewhere CO2 can cause the atmosphere to retain heat like a blanket and because one of the byproducts of mans activities on this earth is some amount of CO2... well that clinches it for them. The rest of the science that says there needs to be more study on actual amounts and effects is just the the right caring nothing about the earth.
It is everything like a religion to some. Don't need facts when all you have to do is believe and claim moral superiority.

The Republican Party in the USA - the only major political party in the developed world (possibility the whole world) that denies climate change. Does anyone believe these jokers are right and the rest of world is wrong?
The deniers can even get their story straight, they are literally all over the place on this on issue. Some think climate change isn't happening at all, others think human activity has nothing to do with climate change, others think God will take care of us (or the rapture is imminent and it doesn't matter) and some others think it will happen so far in the future in the it doesn't matter. It's much like the disinformation campaign run by big tobacco in throughout the middle of the last century, peddled by these merchants of doubt. First deny the link between cigarettes and cancer and say that cigarettes provide health benefits. When you can't peddle this lie anymore because of the overwhelming scientific evidence, then create so much disinformation about the safety of smoking cigarettes (filters will protect you) that the average person doesn't know what to believe. Fast forward to today. Now the same pattern of lies and misinformation is being sponsored by big oil about climate change.
Don't let yourself be fooled. The overwhelming scientific consensus is that man made climate is happening. The sooner we get out heads out of the sand and take action the better our chances for counteracting the impacts of this looming disaster.

No humans are not accelerating it and there is no evidence other than BS climate computer models which are almost always wrong to prove it.
And there is a race for CHEAPER ENERGY as in fracking. Not for BS lefty green net loss energies.

Talk about misinformation. A corporation whose sole reason for existence is to maximize profits for shareholders (allowing the rich to get richer) is now a "socialist entity"? What kind of Orwellian doublespeak is this? This is same type of which claims Hitler and Nazi regime was a socialist when everyone know fascism is capitalist. Also the same type that denies man made climate change I guess.

Best solution, individually do our part to conserve what is left instead of using it

Ok @Billy let's agree to differ. I'll base my thinking, on what I see as the most credible scientific institutions, and the evidence they provide. I meant no offence, we just disagree.
@Stu yes I see California is taking a leading role, if it was a country, It'd be the sixth largest economy in the world (bigger than France). More importantly, I think the collection of hi tech progressive companies there bode well for America generally.
My guess for the "next gen" energy supply would be fusion, or hydrogen. But I'm not a scientist. I really don't think it'll be finite non renewable sources.
