Romance is a language derived from Vulgar Latin, particularly those vernacular dialects spoken in medieval southern France.

The term can also refer to the literature of said language, and by extension the themes of chivalry, adventure, and courtly love that predominated said literary works.
 
Bringing me a cup of tea in the morning.
Reaching the high shelves in the supermarket for me.
Carrying heavy objects.
Taking care of the house and the kids when I am sick.
Remembering my birthday with a carefully chosen gift and greeting card.
Spending one-on-one time with me- no distractions. Cooking a special meal for me.

I like flowers, too, but not the cliche' red roses. Pink is my color. I also like stargazer lilies and peonies.
