The unattributed/unacknowledged author of most of them is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nesta_Helen_Webster

Nesta Helen Webster, who among others attracted the attention and support, at least for a while, of none other than Winston Churchill, however, Webster and her following were far left wing or anarcho-anythings, Churchill thought at ever social gain or change since ww1 was communism, inlcuding national insurance and national health services, Webster was a fan of fascism.

Although there's another source too, theosophy, for the more "spiritualist" underpinnings, which is readily supplied by Dennis Wheatley's fiction and "library of the occult", books by others authors and sources which Wheatley published as inspirations to himself and likely to be of interest to his readership.

So considering the main sources for the theories, its seriously hard to believe that anyone would find Icke credible.

I don't think Icke is concerned with being 'fresh'!

The only people interested in being 'fresh' are writers of fiction!

Seeing as Icke is influenced from gnostic writings that are over 2000 years old and which pre-date Nesta by that amount of time i don't think he would ever claim to be 'fresh'

The gnostics were speaking about the archons 2000 years ago...so i think they are the ones who could claim to be originators of the 'conspiracies', as you call them

Concerning his 'theories' you'd have to take one and then look at it but to dismiss all his 'theories' without even looking at one smacks of closed-minded dogmatism

See what you make of this 'theory':
