I stumbled across this video which explains how to do commutators and conjugates on puzzle cubes, which is pretty much the key to solving intuitively without flat out memorizing cases and algorithms and doing stuff that you don't know how it works. I wanted to teach this, but was too lazy and I'm not good at explaining it, so I'm glad this guy explained it instead.
