True. There are a few serial killers (that we know of) that share very few of these traits.
...like that guy up in the Pacific Northwest with the wife, kids, good childhood, etc. who claimed that his Vietnam experience caused the craving to continue killing. He'd developed a taste for it, and needed to go hunt a human now and then. They found something like 30 bodies buried on his property.
Combine this with the list of traits, and it makes me think that the urge to kill is a by product of post traumatic stress disorder. It might not matter if the PTSD comes from childhood or adulthood. If there are the right combination of factors, the pain can end up channeled outward in the form of wanting to kill people while the damaged Amygdala does not provide proper resistance to it. It's not an easy balance to strike between all of the variables. Too much of anything can cause the inhibition to not do it, or the lack of careful precision that leads to the sort of scenes where someone flips out and shoots a bunch of people, then themselves. More likely, one of the missing pieces just causes the typical range of symptoms you will find in PTSD and adult victims of child abuse.

To add a spiritual element to it... I wonder if PTSD and AVCA create a weaker resistance to demonic influence? Or if perhaps it's as simple as flipping the right switches in the mind to get the 'magic combination' for serial killer. My gut tells me it's both.

2. They tend to be intelligent, with IQ's in the "bright normal" range. I've never been able to maintain concentration on the task at hand all the way through the test. I usually end up thinking it's the most pointless and biased series of questions ever and abandon the test. only made to further boost the ego of it's creators themselves and only tests one kind of intelligence I see no reason to be adept at something a computer can do better anyway. I also don't like how it's timed. I tend to do things slowly and double check everything.

I didn't do well in school really because I didn't do my homework, I did fine on tests but a large percentage of grades in high school were based on homework. I always learned far more from lectures and the homework became tedious. As far as college went I didn't really want to be there it was more like I was forced into it by the goals my family had placed on me. As for jobs I am fairly consistent and am quite goal oriented. I tend to stick with a job for a long time if I stick with it at all.

5. As children, they are abandoned by their fathers and raised by domineering mothers. Biologically; sort of. But I was adopted and raised by a very loving family of quite an opposite description and they are who I consider my family, not my birth parents.
6. Their families often have criminal, psychiatric and alcoholic histories. Biologically: N/A. No one in my family has any of the following.
7. They hate their fathers and mothers. I love both my parents.
8. They are commonly abused as children — psychologically, physically and sexually. Often the abuse is by a family member. Nope, not at all.
9. Many serial killers spend time in institutions as children and have records of early psychiatric problems. Not exactly, although I have had certain "conditions" if you want to call them that. never spent time in any institution but did have a few "councilors" I guess they're called. All seemed like a bunch of old people that had spent way too much time in school masturbating over mental concepts at the time. Almost felt like they wanted to find something wrong. as if kids can't just engage in societally unusual behaviors just because they're kids.

Psychologist also wrote "might be false because he had hard attention issues and wasn't motivated". 86 when I was in psych hospital were hardly conscious, medicated on Haloperidol, paliperidone and benzos for side effects, later I became unconscious I couldn't respond, walk, peed in a tube, fed from a tube as well. Recently my IQ administered by psychologist was 196
