  • :3 Yes I've been busy. I'm okay and hope things have been okay on your end too. Hope to get back to you soon.
No, I don't own a PS3. I am a big fan and admirer of it though.

I was impressed with Gamespot's analysis when they awarded it Game of the Year: 2012 Game of the Year

And I was particularly inspired by Jenova Chen's presentation at the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences conference:

Lol, nothing too new for me, I've mostly just been working on translating the rest of and practicing my speech for the contest this weekend. I've been quite lazy and lethargic lately honestly. I'm trying to work on fixing it. I have some upcoming volunteer meetings with new groups I've joined, so that's something else to look forward to.
Take it easy then, no pressure to talk. I've had my own stuff to deal with as well. Glad you're keeping busy. : ) Hope you're enjoying everything.
Jack-chan, are you doing alright these days? Haven't seen you on skype after your last message...bit worried~
Sorry I never got back to you, and sorry I've been gone, lately. I'd just been blasted with work, band, school, writing, and forum-hopping wasn't really the first thing on my to-do list.
I'm sorry... my Pness got in the way of me replying to you for such a long time. It's big and makes moving around and getting things done difficult!

I'm planning on getting my CELTA first as well, right after graduation, and then going to teach right after that. =) Your desires sound similar to mine. I'd like to move around, teaching all over Asia and ideally be able to live all over the world (and stick with someone I love of course). I'm extremely attracted to that nomadic sort of lifestyle as well. There is just so much in the world to see and discover, you know? Foreign languages and linguistics are a major passion and forte of mine. It's exciting to meet someone as passionate about learning language, travelling, and teaching as I am. It's very nice to meet you!

Lol learning a language to talk to someone cute you've found... I've been there. That was Korean for me. French is an alright language.... I'm Canadian and have studied French for 8+ years now. I find some aspects of it kind of silly. Kind of tired of it to be honest lol--it's not my favourite language to learn, but I want to continue learning it just in case I'd need to use it to find a government job to fall back on. What are you finding most challenging about learning Japanese so far? What about French? I'm in my first semester ever of Japanese right now. I have a background of Chinese and some Korean, so Japanese has been pretty easy to absorb for me, as it is quite similar in phonetics, structure, and lexicon, to those two. I've found it a little confuzzling since there are 3 writing systems all wrapped into one though. I suppose it helps makes things less confuzzling in some ways, but more in others. But Japanese is a beautiful language, and I've found it fun to learn so far.

I'm assuming you have some interest in Japanese culture and society as well. Have you been to Japan before?
I'm planning on teaching ESL in Asia after graduation, and then perhaps moving into international relations and international development & nonprofit. :) And yourself? You said you're studying Japanese right now. How long have you been taking that for and are there other language you've been interested in?
Teaching sounds great, especially if that's what you really want. I wish you good luck!

Thank you very much for a link! I'll take a look tomorrow, don't want to become too excited now :)
Thanks! :) I was always curious about it. At the moment I'm torturing French (I've just started), so I'm not up for anything new yet to avoid the already existing confusion. However, I just want to see someone's perspective on it. A Chinese girl has told me it's easy lol It didn't help me :-D
Did you live in Japan before?
    Hello,
I see you're studying Japanese. How difficult is its grammar? The pronunciation seems so impossible and full of vocals.
