  • okay, I'm watching a tri-type video & going to try to find a book. Did you pay for the test or find a free way?
HAHA! @ mental image of literally waiting xD
Btw, o_q is beautiful, just easy to misunderstand. Give him a chance.
Yes, you are disillusioned by your heretofore perspective of America. But are you disillusioned also by your perspective of the World? of the Universe? of humankind? @_@
That was pretty early; may I ask what shapes that perspective?

I don't know about the peace part, honestly; that's how it seems for me as an outsider; I have a friend who expressed a similar perspective like yours, and she's just like you-- there's a zen-like sense, really kind of like a flowing water. I cannot dare to pretend I know your mind; but...I'm curious.

    That is one sad fact about this world, yes. And every matter is so huge, complex--connected. So massive-- it looks untouchable, these creations of men that has devoured its creators since long time ago. A friend once said that society is a creature in its own. I really agreed with that thought. At this rate, more and more people will be swallowed by it;
    Do you think-- it's futile?

Mmm, what I'm saying is somewhat related to what acd said; but it's not the same either.
Things we cannot change, we let go and accept it; things we can change, we try.
But the former offers this lull-- this lull that make us think we have little power to change our world. Sometimes it's complacency, sometimes it's despair.
And the latter offers another lull that make us think we have more power than we think we have. Pride, success, achievement...you name it.

With sadness and despair, I feel like it's related to the former.

Am I sad a lot....sad, not exactly; they are usually acute; strong but short. but stressed, yes. Melancholic, often.
I think this part is somewhat related to my family. I have the necessary 'ingredient' for sadness, but it often gets out as indignation and grief more often than anything else, because the former is the most familiar reaction in my family.
I'm absoloutely bollocks at replying to visitor messages and PMs these days. I have a stack to catch up on! Howare you?
Well to be fair it could be one or two things; a normalized life perspective (which could be good or bad) or an internalized despair (bad). You seemed to be in peace with how you feel, so there's something...

has it been like that from a long time?

    *hugs and sends love*
I share your sentiment about one's lots in life. Sometimes it seems we are 'destined' to occupy certain places in life. And sometimes it's indeed hard to break free from them.
The key is not to be lulled, I think; with certain things we can lull ourselves to believe it should be so, and that's more unhealthy than the despair and sadness itself.
I hope we'll get the strength and chance to break away from that unpleasant lot.
About time, I was starting to get worried my cherry would start molding! Thank you.

While INTPs are definitely a storehouse of factual knowledge, I don't think they base what they know on facts per se. I don't know how to explain it. It's more like they examine and scrutinize the facts to form their own opinions and understanding. Sort of. If I think of a better explanation, I'll share.
I'm curious, do you recognize the song that I ripped off? You might be too young. It was a popular song in the 80s.
You know empiricism is a funny word. People think it means 'results of scientific experiment'. I looked it up in the dictionary, it also means derived from experience. Which is funny when people start arguing that Jung based the whole theory on conjecture and not by empirical means. Which is false, because he definitely did it be empirical means, just not by scientific experiment. :)

Sidebar: This understanding lends to my summation of Te vs Ti. Evidence based logic vs experience based logic.
And I'll be happy to produce it as I demonstrate my classy drinking.

    We'll have a drink together.
