As a Satanist I find a lot of my beliefs are perfectly met within the Satanist framework. Is there anyone else here Church or Satan? Are you interested in it as a subject?
p.s. quick disclaimer, Temple of Satan is a pyramid scheme and not part of this.

I am not one, but many of my friends are Satanists, or dabble in it and go to the church and events.

I do have two questions:
What's the difference between Satanism and Luciferianism?

How do Satanists view Atheists? Can I expect a friendly BBQ with Satan if I'm proved wrong in the afterlife, or is he getting a pit of spiders ready for me?

I'm only in it for the a e s t h e t i c

Is there an article I can read about this Satanist framework?

Haha same.

There have been times in my life where I've been bored enough that Satanism sounded like a thing I should check out, but I don't find belief independently interesting enough... like I would potentially go to a Satanist club, but the whole social aspect seems daunting...

I think I'm happier believing in nothing at all.

Are we talking about modern LaVeyan Satanism or Satanism that's based more around pagan beliefs? I read through LaVeyan Satanism a while ago and found it interesting with some good points but ultimately a little too spiteful for my tastes; I have absolutely no comment on pagan Satanism as it sounds just like paganism centered around an Abrahamic figure to annoy Christians. I do find the fact that some Christians can be quite appalled by Satanists quite humorous. Other than that I've found my religion and am happy sticking to it; I hope Satanism brings something truly beneficial to your life in the same light as my faith does to mine.

What do Satanists believe? I'd definitely like to know more. My immediate thoughts, but based on little knowledge:

Do you mean Satan as described in the Abrahamic religions? I don't see much point in following him because he's obviously inferior to god - why settle for the monkey when you can have the organ grinder? As @Sometimes Yeah said as well, what's the point in voting for someone who's going to roast you alive for all eternity as a reward for following him? Sauron doesn't seem to be very nice to the people who stick with him so it seems a waste of time. Following that kind of Satan means that fair is foul and foul is fair, so a follower is really obliged to promote evil in order to do the will of their master - I'm assuming that Satanists are not really into that.

So is the Satan of Satanism really an alternative name for a spirit of nature, like Pan or Cernunnos? I can see a lot of point in that - but then why use a name that confuses because many people equate it with pure evil?

Actually I think I have a proof for the non-existence of Satan.

1. Perfection is the possession of all attributes (no lack)
2. Existence is an attribute
3. By 1) and 2), a being would be less than perfect if it didn't exist
4. God is a perfect being
5. By 3) and 4), God must exist
6. Satan is the opposite of God
7. The opposite of a being possesses the opposite attributes
8. By 5) and 7), Satan possesses the opposite of existence
9. By 8), Satan must not exist.

Take that, Satanists!

Why would perfection precede existence if it must exist to possess anything Ren?

There cannot be perfection without existence, BUT!

There can be existence without perfection (e.g. INTJs)

And there can be nonexistence with other attributes (e.g. Sherlock Holmes)

So basically Satan is a bit like Sherlock

But Sherlock Holmes is an ontological necessity! You can't observe attributes in something that does not exist.

Maybe if we assume that perfection and existence are contained within each other...
