  • I used to looove partying and drinking, but my boyfriend is straight-edge so I don't really get to enjoy those guilty pleasures anymore. Ahh, the days.
Tis true. Once I told myself I'd go to a party so they wouldn't seem sooo.... 'party' to me, and it was a terrible terrible experience. It took me a long time to go to another party, but I'm pretty good with them now.
One time I was walking around in Little 5 Points in Atlanta and a guy walked up to my friend and I with a camera and started interviewing us about religion. I freaked out at first, but my friend's huge E made me come out of my shell a little bit. It's weird how little things can change you, but that definitely made me more comfortable with cameras.
Yeah, I'm sure college is a completely different enviroment. I usually get the 'escape run away' going through my head on a day where we have to present *shudders*. I hate that.
Oh, no, I don't tan. Skin cancer runs in the family. I just meant that I need to actually make it out my front door and let my skin soak in a little bit of healthy sun. I have friends, just.... not a whole lot. IDK, there's plenty of people I talk to, it just doesn't translate a whole lot outside of school.
Oh my gosh, I do that all the time! (with the messages)

Yeah, I feel you... I feel like I'm becoming a hermit, too. I don't mind, though, because school keeps me social. It is sort of a problem that it's summer now and I'm still white as a ghost, though. I might have to work on that.
I think it would be nice to have the oppourtunity to call up some of the people here and say, "Hey, want to go do something?" Instead I find myself sitting on my laptop all night! Haha. I'm not complaining, though. It's comfy here.
It's true, this forum is full of amazing people. I've only run across maybe two-three people here that I'm not comfortable talking to. It's great, I'm not sure there are any other places like this in the world. Too bad it's just online *sigh*.
Yeah, being 17 I'm pretty broke myself. I could only do a meet up if it was within, um, an hour of myself. Not likely. Thanks, by the way. I don't really know many any people from Alabama.
Nice to meet you, too! I've noticed you around the past couple of days, actually. Good to see another southerner around here!
I love celtic myth! It is what my book is based on! I am trying to get it published right now...What a mess that is!
I have read so much about it...The warrior goddess, was a triple goddess Macha, babd, and Nemain...They called them The Morrigain...I wrote a poem about them too! Its in the articles section called Mother Maiden Crone!
that is where I got mine from, though in the original Celtic myth, Scathach was a man...There wasnt much about him until the Cu Chulainn stories which were in the 3rd celtic book of days. In my book he is a puka, and king of the sluagh...It is actually pronounced Skaw-Hawk. (learning irish gaelic)

YAY!!! I love this stuff! You got me geeking out now!
Lets be friends! I have been meaning to ask you about your Username it is SOOOOO similar to a character in my book...I wonder if you pronounce it different...or if it is like it sounds...I wonder if you have origins for it? TELL ME!
Thanks for the welcome. You've got a nice place here. Think I'm going to have lots of fun.
