What Are You Listening To Right Now (Part 15)

Tobias Sammet is as obsessed with Faustian pacts as I am. I can't get away from his music. I particularly LOVE the this line: "I lead the horse to the water and I make you drink." And the chorus... always stuck in my head as a personal memento mori: "Begging for a dance while your sands are...

What do you look forward to?

I look forward to my salon day tomorrow. I'm going to the spa for the first time. I'm excited because I usually don't do "girly" things and it's a perfectly natural occasion to be completely silent. :relaxed:

INFJs, how did your folks treat you when you were children?

I identify with this experience so much. :m106: Why do people think it's funny to play mean tricks and pick on children?

INFJs, how did your folks treat you when you were children?

Oh boy. My immediate family were very judgmental growing up. They spent more time worrying about what other people thought than if we were actually flourishing and bonding as a family. An older sibling bullied me and my parents held us kids to an impossible standard, which changed on their...

What is your guilty pleasure song?

Guilty pleasure song? Hmm... Oh, this hammy rendition of O' Death an Appalachian folk song that served as the opening to possibly the hammiest horror game I've played Until Dawn. You might recognize the song from somewhere else too!!

What video game(s) do you find inspiring?

Yes! When I first saw it, it really reminded me of Yume Nikki and (of course) Mother. I used to watch longplays of those on YouTube back in the early 00s. It kinda scratched that itch that I didn't even knew I had.

What video game(s) do you find inspiring?

I still remember watching a streamer play both a hard pacifist and a hard genocide* run of Undertale a few weeks before it exploded into obscene popularity. As someone who knew nothing about the Kickstarter or story beforehand it blew me away. Albeit simple, it is a very well-rounded game that...

What, if anything, do you fear?

I think social media is scary. :)

    [INFJ] INFJs and Details

I get carried away by details when doing creative things. I like world-building so I think about how things like magic or alternative technology would work. Then I think about what sort of trade goes on in the world. Then I think about what sort of seafaring ships they use or if they use ships...

    Idolization and Idealistic Fantasies

That's me exactly. I made excuses for poor behavior of people I considered close, good friends. Even more, I did it with family members who I held to an even higher standard. I find it very hard to look at my family and long-term friends objectively. I'm drastically more guarded these days...

Find Your Hogwarts House: The Harry Potter Sorting Hat Personality Test

40% Gryffindor 79% Hufflepuff 74% Ravenclaw 46% Slytherin NO. I WANT TO BE A SLYTHERIN. I HATE HUFFLEPUFF. But, let's be real, if I were in the Harry Potter uni, I'd be a random drunken Muggle who falls victim to Potter and the gang's shenanigans.

    Idolization and Idealistic Fantasies

Yeah, that seems pretty familiar to me: Ignoring red flags because you hold a person in high regard and forgive their shortcomings.

    Idolization and Idealistic Fantasies

Do you idolize someone? A celebrity? A famous chef? A band? A content creator? In the past I used to let my idolization run wild however I never new that being a fan of something could be unhealthy especially if I had the wrong perception of them. A year ago or so, I used to follow a small...
