The funny thing is, I'm not particularily enthusiastic or attentive around females.
I tend to have the personality of a much older, much more dignified man.
To the extent that I might scold my friends for 'checking out' females and sexualising them without need.
I agree totally with Melkor, who gets a big old star for his message post. Others just aren't as stupid as you think they are.
Regarding the comment you left on my post, I do agree about physical/spiritual dualism being an import from Greek philosophy. It's disappointing how fast it was adopted by the church. Having just read your post in the thread, I quite like how you explained your position on the soul - I think you put it more clearly and succinctly than I did.
Your position on the final judgment is also fairly close to mine. I guess I'd fall into the annihilationist camp, as I do think there are a few passages referring to eternal punishment (which I take to be final annihilation) which seem to imply that someone must be doing the punishing. I'm still researching this area, though, albeit slowly.
Would it be baseless and crass of me to inform you of your awesomeness?
Or does the narrow nature of the means in which it is said negate that? -
