    [PAX] Are you genderqueer?

I'm technically genderqueer, although I must admit I seldom to never call myself that. I refer to myself as androgynous, and have since I found out that was a thing that existed. I've just never felt like a "man" or a "woman," stereotypical or otherwise.

Does morality exist? Oh noes! Philosophical discussion! :O

Morality is subjective, therefore its existence is subjective. You might not believe in an overarching, joined morality amongst all living things. Therefore morality, as such, does not exist in your view. Someone else might believe that all life is governed by strict moral guidelines (see most...

    Occupy Protests Go Global

Honestly, I think (and I could be wrong, but...) that it has more to do with Marxism than anything. I'm not saying the protestors are Marxists, but the theme of "them vs us" or "bourgeoisie vs proletariat" definitely seems to carry a lot of weight here. It's not specified what's so bad about it...

    Let's Psychoanalyse your Avatar [2]

I would LOVE to be a time traveller. In fact, time travel is one of my go-to problems when I'm bored and want to try and solve something. As for the man with the mirror; it's not a mirror, and the items on the table are actually flasks and other things used in chemical analysis during the time...

    Let's Psychoanalyse your Avatar [2]

Kgal You're trying to be zen. I say "trying" because a yellow background does not a zen atmosphere make, especially since yellow is the hardest color for the human eye to process. You think of yourself as somewhat vibrant and intelligent. If you're aware that yellow is the color of love in some...

Out of synch with our day and age

I don't think this feeling necessarily stems from aging. I'm seventeen and have felt this way for quite a few years now. I think it comes more from what era the person has had the most exposure to (for example, I was always exposed to things pre-80s or pre-70s, and missed almost everything that...

    The Meaning of Life

What is the meaning? I think this differs from person to person. For me, it's to find happiness/peace/fulfilment, which is a nearly impossible goal to reach in any perfect way, which means I'll never stop having a meaning in my life (it's also to help other people find...

    What makes you happy (everyday)?

Viewing/Hearing about/Participating in random acts of kindness or peace. Finding inspiration. Inspiring someone else (I don't think anything makes me happier). Making someone laugh, especially someone who doesn't laugh very often. Getting a chance to pause and look at all of the beauty in the world.

What are your biggest fears and how do you overcome them?

I have a fear of being hurt, physically and emotionally. It's more of an overactive survival instinct, I think, and I treat it as such, mostly by basically ignoring it. I try to stay away from things that will hurt me physically, but I'm careful not to be extreme about it; I know a few cuts and...

What's it like to be you?

Feeling and knowing that you are smarter and more talented in most ways (but mostly smarter) than anyone you've ever met, and feeling awful for thinking that, especially since you have low self-esteem and question everything that you do. You love to be scientific and methodical about things but...

    Saying "I love you"

I actually sat down and wrote a whole piece on the subjectivity of the phrase "I love you" upon viewing this thread, but I'll neglect posting it and instead actually answer the questions. Family - No. I used to, because of the obligation I felt. But after a while I became tired of lying, so now...

    How does love feel?

As someone who expels energy every time they're around someone and needs time afterwards to be alone and recharge; it feels like being alone. But happier.

How do you relate to your avatar?

Holmes was one of the first fictional characters I ever felt a genuine connection with, as far as behaviour and mental capacity are concerned, and I also find him to be a bit of an inspiration to stop being so lazy and go do something I'm passionate about, even if I have to make up my own career. ;)
