Maybe it's because somethings require the presence of another person in order for the information to be considered reliable. Also, it often proves that the other person is serious about the problem. That's my opinion, dunno if anyone will agree with me :D.

I think it is because when we are kids we are all constantly developing both mentally and physically at different speeds, which is why a difference between a 14 year old and 16 year old person is much bigger than a difference between a 40 year old and 45 year old person. Also age does matter...

When I am under a lot of stress I often perceive the world in a very negative way, which effects on how I interact with other people in a negative way. But it's not like I am angry at someone, just angry at what is going on :D.
