Clinton vs Trump, Trump vs Clinton

They pushed Trump early on for a purpose. The leaked emails make it very clear which candidate is being pushed at what time by a shadow of corporate globalism -- at the expense and deception of the American people, and the world. The media tells a story and they frame things in such a way that people react was they want us to. Not as we should. This is all starting to crumble now.

Free market capitalism/socialism I don't really care. None of this is a priority right now imo. It's a distraction from the main threat which is globalist corporate control over our government. Once corruption is removed, our borders secure and we can be truly a sovereign country again, then we can begin to work out the rest.

I don't even want to get into all the lies except poor Bernie. Look how they treated him. He never had a shot. You don't have a choice. It's her turn. Get with the program liberals. You will vote as you're told. Hillary has to be next. They propped up Donald too as an easy run against Hillary. You don't have a choice but to vote for her now. Right? You can't vote third party. Donald might win! The world will laugh at us! He's so terrible! He said all these mean things, and if you don't agree you're a racist bigoted piece of shit. And you hate women. I'm just happy to see that isn't working on the American people as well as they thought it would and I'll be happy to spit in their face on election day.

I've been watching Trump. At first I shook my head at him for even putting himself in this position and I even made fun of myself, but I see the scale and oppressiveness of his enemies. I realize that his enemies are also mine and they are also smearing me as someone I am not. I've actually become inspired by him at this point.

We have to take control over our corrupt and sick government first before anything else. We have to stop believing the lies and cooperate and unite with each other against them instead of fight each other.

It was Hillary's turn 8 years ago. They knew what would happen to her. She does not deserve a "turn".

Liberals easily manipulated and told what to do. Proof that Bernie was strong armed and all his supporters faithfully going out to vote for the queen of criminal activity now.

The media runs this all. While I align pretty closely with libertarian ideals I would never vote for Gary Johnson. Still, why was he never part of the debates? If for no other reason than to give a different perspective. Nope, you have two choices, dumb or dumber...
Why did I have to see Jeb Bush propped up consistently even with bottom of the barrel pole numbers since day one?
The media runs the whole thing.

Trump isnt talking term limits?

It's a discussion that should be had and while it won't fix everything, it would certainly help. Baby steps.

And I do not support Trump. Seeing some sense in one thing he says does not qualify as support.

Agreed. ^ He also says he'd put a 5 year-ban on White House and Congressional officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government service; a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government, and a complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections.

It sounds good, banning elected officials and staffers from becoming lobbyists.... But is that really the problem? You can not run for congress unless you spend 30% to 70% of your time calling rich people and asking for campaign contributions. On top of that the norm now is for congressional reps to spend more time in their home districts and not in DC. Again this sounds great, connecting with their constituents, but what they supposed to be doing is working with those who were elected from different constituencies to come to some kind of consensus what the problems are and how to fix them. Lobbying is one of the few ways polarized politicians can share input on an issue.
As far a term limits go, if you have districts that will only allow for a cookie cutter type of representative to be elected how is changing the cookie doing anything?

I see corruption as a problem and this leaves them open to corruption. I see zero downside to this and it is perfectly reasonable IMO. There is nothing wrong with lobbying, but this would stop some of the corruption. If you don't have to worry about re-election and you can't become a lobbyist immediately after at least it curtails a bit of the special consideration of donors and lobbyists offering jobs. I don't know. Remove the incentive to serve yourself vs the people and then people with a heart to actually do that will be attracted to these positions.

What is your thought on a solution?

The Government by the People Act or H.R. 20[1] is proposed United States campaign finance reform legislation introduced in 2014.

As of February 2014, it had over 100 Democratic cosponsors, but it has little to no chance of passing the Republican-controlled House of Representatives.[2] Political contributions of up to $150 would be matched by a factor of six times more than the original donation as long as candidates meet certain requirements. They must not use their own money, not accept donations over $1000, have already received at least $50,000 from 1000 in-state donors, and decline most political action committee money.[3] In order to subsidize donations to political candidates, supporters say it will close "corporate tax loopholes",[2] though MinnPost.com said no financing mechanism has been identified.[3]

Oh....
Well I think its pretty well established fact as to how corrupt Democrats in general are these days. So many of them working together to destroy, supress, mislead and direct investigations regarding their members.
So yeah, I really have no interest at all in anything suggested by Democrats. We need to move past that corrupt way of thinking and find real solutions that actually benefit the people of the United States rather than enslave them.

BUT I asked you for your opinion stu. Not some regurgitated tripe posted by the liberal brainwashing squad.

done here

I don't know if either of you have seen the Adam Curtis documentary HyperNormalisation ? It's on BBC IPlayer at present if you have anyway to access that. It wasn't shown on any bbc mainstream TV channel and never will be. Whilst I won't endorse the views he puts forward, it's a very interesting piece if you have almost 3 hours to spare. He goes to great lengths to show, the world presented to us, not just on TV, but also very skilfully via the internet is maybe not all it seems. I'll take a wild guess you both believe that already anyway.

One of his main points is the near constant seed of doubt and disagreement that is sown between people. A very planned propaganda of how to divide people on a near industrial scale. Whenever someone disagrees with my "politics" I alway want to ask them how many yachts they have. If it's less than 3 we probably have more in common than either of us may think. Some of us believe in democracy, and some plutocracy. To me it's far more than just about traditional left/right wing party political politics any more.

Instead of allowing those 'who pull the strings' to control and manipulate us, I think it's worth taking a pause. This election maybe very genuine in many respects, but I think there is also an element of the 'men behind the curtain' having a drink together afterwards. Someone once said cynically, if voting could change anything it'd be illegal. I don't subscribe to that view, but there is probably a grain of truth in it. You know what I think would really worry 'the men behind the curtain?'

If two people with such seemingly different views, decided to talk to each other, maybe respect each other a little. Who knows huh ? Just a crazy thought. Now you both hate me ? I'll try to keep it down from here on in.
